He could have been selling bits here and there for months or years for all we know. His position didn't need to be disclosed before the bid approaches as below 3%.

It's the deadline for potential bidders to either put up or shut up, and any that pull out will not be able to bid again for 6 months afaik.

Can't see it myself given they raised approx $13m in April (at 13.5p), so simply no need to raise at current depressed prices. If they do raise again in the near term it will be opportunistic on the back of San Domingo results and therefore at a much higher price.

Yes. this was always going to drop back as short-term punters move on to their next punt. The extent of the pullback is a bit surprising but then again maybe not in the context of the messed up market we have at the moment.
This is basically now £2m above cash value though so enormous value for the more patient investor.

You also have to taken into account EVG has already pulled back from a high of nearly 8p a week ago to almost 4p now, making selling now on a short-term gambling basis even more questionable imo.

I understand why people do it, but it's still pure gambling and only works if EVG goes down and your chosen new punt goes up (and no doubt a few more punts after that before eventually buying back in EVG, or not). Been there, done that.
