100notout, you do raise one perfectly valid point which is that instead of people constantly whingeing on here why don't they get their authorisation letters sorted and pop along to the AGM and express their concerns or ask their questions in person and face to face.
Too many just sit idly by and either inconsequentially tick the boxes or abstain. We had the exact same mentality last year when activists and investors were questioning the leadership and stating their voting intention and we had the happy clappers vocalising that they were happy with what the Board were doing, in time it will rerate, and the I'm voting in favour contingent. Well one year on well done on that front and just take a look at how another year has seen further declining revenues, missed targets and a share price more than halved.
Also, no doubting that some of the workforce has been cut but just answer me these two questions and you might see the contradiction.
How many CEO's does the one company THG actually have?
Can you name me any other FTSE 250, FTSE 100 or indeed any company that has this many?
Mike Ashley you also mention. If he or Frasers were to actually come in the door @ THG then I suspect the first thing they would do is announce a thorough review of the staffing and structure of the organisation and instantly strip out any duplication and excessive cost. I'd bet Ashley's average cost per staff member is nowhere near £50k per employee.
