( For disclosure I hold) Reason of my view is that the technical set up looks good , stochastics moving out of over sold and RSI above 50 now Wouldn't surprise if we re-test the 200ma and this time stay above it in the next weeks

AIMOilking make Brent up over 2% now . Get the feeling that testing this 200ma quite a few times will lead to breaking out

The focus seems to always be on Brent prices which is wrong .

Well as rates are decreasing a lot on the back of the CPI data in the US , the UK ones down too today 5y at 4.223. That usually correlates well with Foxtons. Rates down Foxtons up . I don't really see a slowdown for Foxtons so keep on holding my position here .

Just shows that when we get a minimum of trades the stocks rallies quick ! Imagine if we really had some volume Tells me this may be ready for movement and big one too. I hold a few .

It should. Look at GB05Y curve on trading view Everytime rates start to fall Foxtons goes up and rates are now forecasted to fall . Was looking at the SOFR in the US and 2024 should see rate cuts based on the forward swap curve , am looking for the UK one .

Me am bullish here as activity will pick up as financing costs fall . Rents already doing very well . Recession or not London will get busy

Proving to be resilient based on today's stats , MoM +0.9% vs -0.4% forecasted and YoY -3.3% vs -4.8% forecasted+

Strikes me as once the extreme low rates are washed out the market will settle to more realistic expectations and better financed mortgages . Too many had interest only type mortgages. Very wrong .

At least in London all I hear is that finding a place is very hard , so not much has changed at all. Always has been the case

I agree and are right , I have been saying it for years , once you inflation adjust oil then its not so bad as they make out.

After all those who work for oil companies would have their salaries go up over the years too. They are not flat for decades.

The last time we broke a 200ma properly the share went from 390s to 500 quite rapidly in Aug 22 .

Not suggesting it will do it again but just wished to highlight it .

March 2022 had a similar spurt. So I wonder if the trend followers will be looking at this to add simply as strategy demands it.

We could be in for a decent rise based on these precedents . Am still averaged at 350s though the divi is due to be re-invested autoamatically , Should reduce the average by a few pennies which is always nice yet small fry

It is some sort of a joke . 57p in June and today 72.8 and we fall back to the same share price ???? How is this realistic ? FCF gone in reverse ? no . Just being played . We go up 1 dollar and I bet we reverse nevertheless

Now 18$ extra dollars is not exactly 'a little higher' with some margin of plus or minus difference . Its EIGHTEEN DOLLARS higher ! What the hell is going on to revist the high 13s ?

Where is Enquest ? Couldn't make it up . Beyond parody I even rarely look at it now . What a farce , 90 Brent is great same as gas prices , What more do people want ?

Somewhat illogical that now gas is 9% up ! and HBR down . FCF despite the windfall tax is still substantial and at these underlying gas and oil prices does not warrant current valuation . I only hope they can speed up the asset revaluation abroad as the faster they do the less over tax any tory or labour government can get out of Harbour.

Whatever we are priced at the FCF moves up a lot for every 1$ , in oil We don't even have the shorter anymore . Very weird especially with no debt now and a nice dividend yield . Oh and that other asset we produce ie GAS up 8.5% today

Closed at 95( Oct contract) that is insane to then see no movement in share price ! Brent cash at 95ish and Gas up 8,5% shorter gone or at least not seen it on the reported shorts .

Geez we even had Sunak talk about relaxing Net Zero ,how about reducing a tax that is not bringing in any real value to anyone ? Allowed to make serious profits HBR would have probably been paying more in tax as the shareholders materialise serious gains too . The net here if you add capital losses is no way near what they thought it would bring in . How obvious was that to all ? yet the clowns don't get it

At $100 we should be smashing 500 if not 600. . What a disgrace this price is

Compare BP to HBR

Government has been so stupid as well as those who supported this tax. BP marched on whilst our own HBR crashed.

BP was used for the headlines completely misleading the general twice . 1 BP is international and 2 our energy security and ability to influence green matters will be shown 2 fingers once we will 100% import from jurisdictions where we have zero ability to control anything

Twice stupid and three times once Labour is in power. We have a left wing party in power and a marxist one incoming .

I only hope HBR does its best to diminish its UK presence as quick as possible and it too stick 2 fingers at UK governments who are clueless on either side .
