erazzel/RR: well it is true that they issued at least one share cert after delist as I received it!
What happened was that at delist the shares that were held in ISAs were kicked out and my broker advised me that they couldn't be put back with my main holding but that they had to get the registrar to issue a share cert for them, which is what happened. But then I think they stopped sending them out pretty quickly afterwards. So, in my case I have a cert for a small percentage of my holding with the bulk of the shares held by my broker which I can see when I log on to their website.

But, at the end of the day, what matters is the shareholder register, which will hold records of all the shareholdings ... or should do!

jackpack: according to what we had been told, at delist, SN held 1.710billion shares (which was 10.85% of the issued share capital) and ZM 1.040billion (6.60%).

The conclusion is probably that they told the authorities that they spent it on payroll; it doesn't necessarily mean they actually spent it that way.

Thanks yet again to Looed for all your ongoing efforts.
I just wanted to pick up on one of the points you touched on. You refer to shareholders not being yet "verified". The process that was followed when I made direct contact was that they wanted confirmation that I was who I claimed to be. So I sent them a screenshot of the stockbroker screen showing the bulk of the shareholding and a photo of the certificate for the shares that were chucked out of my ISA. The purpose of this was per Bryce Linsenmayer in his email to me so that: "I can then cross-reference that with the stockholder register."
So the point I am making is a reassuring one to anyone who has not been verified. The "verification" is purely so that they can confirm that you are a shareholder and so will be communicated with. They clearly already hold a register of holdings. (As indeed one would hope!).

Kippermanbike: they're all (obviously) in it for themselves, but SN and Zaza both have huge shareholdings and so a positive outcome for them is aligned with the same for us. Currently, as far as we know, Hope doesn't have shares, only Debt. That might be aligned with us to a degree but I would strongly suspect that if he could liquidate the company to secure himself his return he would.

Unfortunately that seems more likely than your favourable scenario imo, but neither of us has any idea. In the words of Arsenal, we will have to wait and see. Fingers, toes and all other digits crossed you're right!

I think that subsequent events have pretty much proved your take was correct. I sincerely hope you are correct with your first point too then!
What's your take on the Zaza v Frontera directors court action? The background and motivation?

StarRage: he did.
At the same time there was an arbitration ("not an issue"), a process which we didn't engage with, and were lucky to lose without getting wiped out. Zaza publicly didn't accept the result, which, with US pressure, seemed to be a successful strategy in that we ended up not losing the asset, which legally we could have.
But then on the day of the election result he was devastated on Facebook apparently. Yet, following the election, the new Government has been pretty positive. Until now.
So what happens next?

I have met him, along with many on here, and I confess I believed what he told me face to face. Not sure who to believe now. And the latest news of the resignation of the pm is deeply worrying, just when things appeared to be finally moving pro west.

WHamBoy: in terms of timing, JimSlade kindly shared the below on 2 February, which suggests we may be waiting a while longer.

"I asked Frontera for clarification of ‘shortly’ in the recent correspondence and got this back from them. Nothing appears imminent.

As we have discussed, we are working through a transition at Frontera and we appreciate your patience. We hope to have more to communicate in the upcoming months."

Good evening StarRage. I have no idea, obviously, but one of the main reasons I invested here was the fact that SN and Zaza were hugely invested too. Zaza appears to be out of the picture now. But, as far as we know, both remain aligned with us. So, if they do things by the book, which is a big if, we shouldn't be diluted too much, as any dilution should affect all shareholders equally.
The fact we are still breathing, coupled with the new Director appointments and the new Georgian government rhetoric, makes me cautiously optimistic on balance. This assumes the asset remains within our grasp, but why would these new appointments be made if that wasn't the case?
What's your take?

Bedex: not sure about the bolt hole, but plenty of UK companies buying distribution depots in Europe having to lay off thousands of UK employees owing to Brexit.
