“On Patience, Posts, and the Perils of Not Reading the Thread”
Beloved members of the SCGL flock, gathered here on this fine Sunday morning, I bring you greetings from the sacred halls of Moderation, where the coffee is strong, the patience is thin, and the “Report Post” queue overfloweth like the cup of an over‑enthusiastic barista.
Today’s reflection is on a virtue we often forget: forbearance—that blessed ability to scroll past a comment without immediately typing a 600‑word rebuttal in righteous fury. For as the ancient proverb says: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall not be dragged into a 14‑page argument about nothing.”
And so, before we embark upon another week of posting, debating, and wondering why half of you are still using Internet Explorer, let us join together in our community prayer.

Our Admin, who dwells in the server,
Hallowed be thy username.
Thy updates come, thy patches be done,
On desktop as it is on mobile.
Give us this day our daily threads,
And forgive us our off‑topic posts,
As we forgive those who reply without reading anything properly.
Lead us not into flame wars,
But deliver us from spambots.
For thine is the moderation,
The ban‑hammer, and the glory,
For ever and ever (or until the next outage).
