One thing is absolutely for sure “macroeconomic conditions” have not improved…

Now this may sound like a de-ramp, but this is not my angle, it’s just a valid reason in my opinion.

The uk is now at 9% inflation (really 15%) and the only way of bringing that down is higher interest rates, and that needs to be factored in when your borrowing 100’s of millions….

It’s harder to get finance now than it was a year ago, fact ..

Update on proposed sub-license of VAL201

London, UK - ValiRx Plc (AIM: VAL), a life science company focusing on early-stage cancer therapeutics and women's health today provides an update on progress towards the completion of the proposed sub-license of VAL201 to TheoremRx Inc ("TheoremRx").

As announced on 2 November 2021, ValiRx entered into a non-binding Letter of Intent ("LOI") with TheoremRx for the sub-license of VAL201. The LOI has been re-executed with an exclusivity period expiring before the end of June 2022.

TheoremRx reports that it continues to make good progress with its financing, however current global macro-economic events have impacted the timelines. Upon successful completion of the financing by TheoremRx, the first payments to ValiRx under the sub-license are anticipated on or before end-June 2022.

The service agreement previously announced on 5 January 2022 has allowed ValiRx to work closely with the TheoremRx Chief Scientific Officer, identifying partners to conduct the next clinical trial of VAL201 in the UK.

The LOI and proposed Licence Agreement (as referred to in the announcement of 2 November 2021) therefore remain non-binding and there is no guarantee that this Licence Agreement will be executed or that it will generate material revenues within the expected timeframe or at all.

So it depends if the can gets kicked down the road again?

One last thing I was also educated in the 70’s & 80s and when I left school I could barely read or write, it’s quite amazing how many people look down there nose at you rather than help..

I could not imagine myself watching someone struggling to do a practical job, without trying to help them..

We all have different strengths and weaknesses, but I feel we can always remain civil?

Once upon a time, not so long ago, we had our doors open on a hot summers day, and in walked a cat and jumped up on my lap, the mrs and I were a bit shocked at the cheek of this cat..

However the mrs being a cat lover, fed and watered the cat, needless to say (puss puss) as we named him visited us most days for his last remaining years, we didn’t find out until after he had died that he actually had an owner and we were not the only house he visited regularly…

One cold wet winters evening, I was looking out of the window as we were having some emergency roadworks right outside of our house, there were jackhammers going temporary generator powered lights, lorries and guys everywhere, grinders going, it looked like a war zone..

I could see puss puss in the distance, he walked slowly in a dead straight line heading for our house, he ignored all the noise and flashing lights, grinders, he just kept walking until he was at our front door, he did not flinch once..

He had his goal insight and ignored the noise…… clever old cat!

RB,I think your referring to stumbler? Alas I have not seen a post from him for months, I think he was knocking on the door of late 90s..

Porky, I have been vaulting gold/ silver for 9 years now, I use PM as savings, my son and brother have started doing the same as well as a few friends, I see it as the safest way of holding value. Imo… obviously investing in fishing tackle is mor interesting:)

Ragnarr, probably the the reason I feel old is my dad was born in 1924 and mother was born in 1930 now both gone, so my old chap actually served in the 2nd world war, I have an old fashioned upbringing, Victorian values I suppose..

My brothers are 65 and 69, my kids are all grown up and sorted, I have been a grandad for 7 years now… so I do kind of feel much older than I am… and being as bald as an egg make it worse lol

Mother hit a brick wall with her health at 60, she was ok until then, but from 60-75 she went down hill and her last 5 years she spent begging to die, it was very hard to watch..

So seeing as everyone says I take after mother (except the hair) I don’t want to take old age for granted, so that’s why I want to retire early also the wife has a bad back and she cannot sit down without pain, she works in an office stood at a desk all day, and she’s uncomfortable most of the time…

I am leaning towards her idea of a phased retirement, for many reasons ..

£2.36 would help, however if a ltr of fuel is £50?? I think I need to up my target with real inflation;)

Because we have 4 children and a grandson between us, we would intend to return every 3 months to see them, also we would only rent in Greece and at €350 pcm + bills .. it’s dirt cheap.. how would this be viewed?

Yep been there and got the tee shirt, the 2 combined had a transfer value of £130k, however we could not find a financial advisor who would advise us to transfer for the fear of being sued…

What pi553s me off is I wanted transfer all funds at the time to a gold pension, at that time gold was £1k per oz… now currently at £1454.55

However you have reminded me to send off for a new transfer value. So cheers
