I think we would all agree taking one’s own life over money is never worth it! But one cannot under estimate mental illness..

In the past I was in a very bad place after splitting up with my “ex wife” I remember driving at an illegally high speed, and for a “moment” I thought if I point my car at the concrete motorway pillar all my troubles would be gone! I pulled myself together and went to see a counsellor… I have never had that thought since..

Tdk was 100% correct often just talking about your troubles can stop somebody doing something very silly..

I’m only modestly invested here, I certainly don’t have all my eggs in one basket, the reason for this is I would consider myself a novice investor, so I spread the love around :)

My goal is to purchase another house outright should the housing market crash..?

I read it as 5% deposit on a £600 k house = 30k investment

The property now has a value of £1050000.00 minus the mortgage would give you approximately 30k in rent, just under a 5% yield

Believe it or not I’m actually not particularly a royalist, but prince Philip was a legend in my opinion.. reminds me of my late father, similar age and born without a filter..

He Worked most days of his life, but I guess you won’t agree… but there we are back to the freedom of speech again ..

If I had 3 wishes 1 would be to have had a few beers and a natter with old phill .. very good sense of humour..

I know not everyone was a fan of prince Philip, however I thought the bloke was an absolute legend..
