Good morning all I've been looking back at the dates of the previous trading updates. In doing so I note phtm don't appear to stick to specific dates for quarterly updates. It's possible that Wizard's assessment of the 8th Jan. trading update last year was due to the phenomenal 90% rise in the Japanese business. Whatever I assume we are a happy bunch of campers on as unlike other boards no one on here is burdened with heavy historic losses. D.

Hi Beetham Think you're probably right about II selling down some of their stake to us. Just a thought. Is it possible that the're not that happy about MA having so much money tied up in treasury. Record shows we have 49 million shares in treasury as of yesterday. Maximum we can hold is 86 million shares or £258 million cash equivalent. So long way to go if the full option is realised. I note he hasn't cancelled any of them yet can't make my mind up if that's good or bad. As far as I know you can only cancel or re-issue treasury shares anyone know what would be best for us lowly pi's. D.

I think your on winner this time Craig. It's not my place to give advice but and there always is one it's nearly always beneficial to do your own research before you buy. It's fair enough looking at what other people are saying but you should never buy anything till you've done at least some research. Not trying to be smart but it's just so important to know exactly what your buying and what expectations you have of every share in your portfolio. Good hunting sir D. .

Hi Chequemate. I also got in early Dec. with a similar average to yourself. I spent a week researching every bit of historical data I could find written about phtm. and nowhere did I find anything that said this was a business I shouldn't invest in. The charts tell us we've had a good run over the last month or so but if you go back further you'll find that we're as near as damn it where we were a year ago. I I defy anyone to say the fundamentals of this company have not improved in that year ! D.

Hi Isobel. Well it would appear we have at least three enthusiastic phtm ers then. Just been the Badger and the wizard posting here of late perhaps we'll get a few more now that share is showing some good upward momentum. Whatever Isobel your very welcome. Is it coincidental this rise is so close to the expected trading update. It wouldn't be the greatest surprise if it appears tomorrow !!!!!!!!! D.

Hi Soleman I was just having a wee moan, dfs has been good to me lifted near £500 in dividends and probably made another £500 trading prior to Christmas. Down to 1500 shares now will top up if a good opportunity arises. My two new shares are mcs & phtm picked both up low 150's during the festive period mcs up 5% plus a bit of divi. and phtm up 12% . Early doors obviously but it's nice to be showing a wee bit of early profit on a share that wasn't bought for short term trading. Funnily enough picked up spi on the drop first thing this morning read the rns before market opened and didn't think the 10% drop was justified. Made a decent profit with a wee ' in and' oot' at debs.Don't normally do really short term stuff but it was crying out to me. D.

I can't disagree with your assessment. It's not always easy to have a balanced view on any company your invested in but like yourself I rate this business highly and it is LTH for me. I'm surprised there's not greater interest on here from other Pi's perhaps the guys are here but just don't post. I've read that we now have a contract with the French transport ministry to supply driving licences through our website and photobooths. We also now have a signed MOU with the Republic of Ireland to supply passports through the same format. Onwards and Upwards to the ftse 250 " with a bit of luck " D.

Wizard If the trials prove the technology is capable and should goverment approval be attained the possibilities are massive for PHTM. It's a big if mind you. Watch this space. D.

I dipped my toe in on Friday sub 500. Never got in at anywhere near the bottom but I'm not to bothered as I still feel there's plenty of room for share price growth from current level. " New Company " seems to have been well received by market with plenty of trades and volume right from day one. Not a long timer for me but " I've said that before " Thought they got a bit of " cake and eat it " with the formation of the new company. Presumably that part of the business they offloaded to TP ICAP was the least profitable part of the old business, however they've managed indirectly to hold onto a significant interest in it through the terms of the sale. D.

New technology being trialled this year in France and UK. Apparently you visit PHTM website fill in the driving license or passport application form and receive initial acceptance and clearance code. Visit any updated PHTM booth take mugshot as usual, load clearance code and signature then send. If all okay goverment wise your new docs. come in the post. D.

Interesting RMP He seems to be saying the right things now. UK consumer seems to have fallen out with the pile it high and sell it cheap technique of Spd. There could still be a place for the current model in an outlet situation but I would like to see the town and city centre stores changed to something like the JD sports format. To be honest I think that's been the case for a few years now !!!! D.

Treasury shares are governed under the company's act 2006 sections 724 through 732. I wish he'd just cancel the bloody things, but no doubt he's a reason not to do it right away. D.

Don't think there should be a problem financing the maximum share buy back this year. Was trawling through the latest trading update and noted that in the last 6 months £160.5 million had been raised through the disposal of all holdings in Dicks Sporting Goods (usa) and JD sports. If the Dunlop brand sale goes ahead that would make almost £300 million cashflow available within the business. He did spend £51.5 million on a corporate jet mind you. D.

He's not considering it gelston it's happening re yesterday's rns. Currently holds 47.5 million shares in treasury. Up to further 40 million to be bought back between now and agm. Sept. 2017. I'm not normally a lover of share buyback, but I've decided in this case it's probably best. I note the bought back shares have not been cancelled though. Not so sure about that. MA's possibly got a plan for them let's hope it's a good plan for us !!!!!!!!! D.

The resumption of the buyback programme re-start today did it for me, I for one am back in from this morning. There's a lot of money in and around this company. MA. may be a lot of things, not all of them good but I trust he'll get this share price back to somewhere near it's peak. Not for us mind you but for himself, he owns so much of the bloody thing. D.

Hi Soleman. I like to think I'm a patient guy but this thing is so slow I don't see any chance of it beating the Hare !!!!!!!! If your any good at setting fires light one under this cos' there hasn't been a spark here since early November. I see your favourite Turkish oil company's had a wee rally hope it's maintained for you this time. My first two new picks for the new year going great guns that's probably why I'm having a gripe about this. D.

Christmas trading update next week will probably decide our short term fate !!!!! If there good hopefully we'll get a bounce from here. If the're bad I'll top up if they ' blooter' us. Whatever I'm happy to hold. D.

New company (nxg) out of old company (icap) minus some of the old company assets, not to mention major share consolidation to boot. Top man buying big but then again he's one of the richest guys in the country. Loads of research needed, no fudamentals for (nxg) yet, so (icap) is the place to start " I think " Be interested to hear if any other Pi's are looking here. D.
