Unfortunately, most of us will be gutted if it goes belly up but I suspect most will survive. If this was my only share in this type of situation I would feel happier but buying a number of AIM tiddlers means only that you spread the risk, as I am now finding out. It means you spread the opportunity that one or more MIGHT get the others out of trouble, but no guarantees. Won't do it again! Too old for all the worry.

The value of BPC to anyone is what they are prepared to pay per share - no more. If more than one party was interested ( be kind, dear God!) there might be an auction, in which case the value would rise. It seems from what posters are writing that a decision has been taken by the co to put itself up for sale to the highest bidder but I have not seen such announcement. Please could someone point it out to me?

16p middle looks like a rather crucial point on HMI's chart. We have drifted to 16.375p middle. Please Board, may we have a nice supportive RNS like NOW? Just something about recent sales in quantity will suffice.

I agree Garth23. Could not fairly set out a long term chart like that without saying 'subject to funding' for the more long distance actions. If anything, it gives me more confidence in the BoD.

Cannot understand this reaction unless it is because they have a few high street shops in their otherwise all office portfolio. They would achieve c 20% more if they unwound it and sold it off over a year or so! I suppose they might now be takeover fodder.

Not impossible that having been turned down by Mcquarie, the major is waiting until Sep 1st and might then poke in a cheeky bid. One thing for sure, BPC is running out of cash again and will find it pretty hard to get a simple Placing away because of share price. If they have to seek more cash, we are going to face a consolidation to write off a big chunk of our investments first e.g one new share for every 20 plus an offer of one new share if we cough up 25p.
Let's hope other majors are lining up to make bids even if lower than we would like, but I am dubious.

Thanks to the guy who posted a link to the 2017 Annual Report. Auditors qualified their report regarding ability to continue in business for 12mths, then recorded the $250,000 per mth exclusivity deal as out of that year and concluded that with benefit of that income 'reasonable expectation'. So it is not safe to assume that this co now has cash and not in any position to have a Placing. My conclusion is therefore now that if a half reasonable offer was made they would have bitten off the major's hand. I think the SP is starting to reflect our dire position. Think they have known it was over for some while, hence the earlier RNS by CEO to cut his pay. Oh dear!

Second gamble to go pear-shaped in one week. In this case I tend to the view that a deal was offered and BPC turned it down on Mcquarie's advice. After all, the interest has now been shown for others to follow and the bank will continue to advise (and earn). I seem to recall that BPC's exploration licence runs out at some date next year so time is not on our side. And, as you say, they still have exclusivity until 31 Aug. If I were heading up the co I would then let it be known that BPC is for sale to the highest bidder.

As usual my limit buy was too low so I judged the market today and got in hopefully at the turn. MMs now seem to have their hands full with buys at this level! Hopefully my persistence might pay off on this one. Losing on a lot of others right now but thats the stock market. P.S. If you put in limit bids and then overrule them, PLEASE remember to go back immediately to your limit screen and wipe it clean, or you could end up with double portion.

No axe to grind as I have adequate number and restricted cash BUT:
When the Placing came, it was at 5.75p before the Bots govt kicked off the latest talks on RFP.
Now, with the benefit of that and the works on site to firm up the size of the discovery further and make TLOU more desirable as an offtake partner ---you have to pay a tiny bit over 6p plus your broker.
