We own 35% of West Newton. We have 4B shares in issue. Lets assume (for now) a value of only £0.5B for WN. 35% would be worth £175,000,000. So the WN value in each share would be just (!!)
43.75p. Zero for all the other interests. And £0.5B may well prove much too low.
I think our SP has a little way to go yet.

The product works and we have a mountain of it. One way or tother SP must rise. If this crew can't make sales, there will be a takeover.

Received my AGM voting form like most others and agree with another poster here that it smacks of daring a major to come out of the woodwork and share some risk (and, of course, reward).
If (or rather, IF) we strike the black stuff, my hunch is that there will be a share consolidation before dividends are considered, because that will get rid of tiny holdings.
Not inclined to buy more here, simply because it is an 'all or nothing' scenario but Hey ho, at least we get a ride on the big Roller Coaster!

I'm going to have to live a bit longer than a week to see any money out of any of them!

Apart from disappointment at the SP, which is considerable, I still have faith that this will produce electricity. The only question is can it do so profitably? This is often the question with natural resources - see SXX. Since I have a fund of 7 'Flutters', I expect some to come good and others to fail. No guarantees but it spreads the very large risks. All I have to do is live to be olda!

Politically, this enterprise is too important to Mozambique not to happen and with the Chinese involved, there is every reason to think it will. I believe it will be at least double by early 2020 and move up from there, possibly subject to a bit of dilution. All IMHO and DYOR as usual.

That's around half the value of a single licence once the relevant State law is changed - and we have loads of licences. Just stick around and hopefully we clean uo at some point,

They only have to be so-so for this SP to react positively. 4.60p is telling us to expect bad figures and that the BoD and senior staff have been either bulls*itting or downright misleading. I do not believe that and hope that the figures will be such that SP will rise from here, if only slowly. Not confident enough to pour more in thoughy at this point.

Spiritefan's query regarding the disappointing SP can probably be explained by the fact, admitted in the RNS, that a major or syndicate threreof has not yet been identified. The plan seems to be that we do this on our own extra capital and some borrowed money, if I have understood this correctly. And it is not a certainty. Progress yes but does not inspire confidence that the major who paid for confidentiality is not yet returning!

If you add in, say 2.5% for the value of gold in the integrated miners, this IT is now 17% invested in gold miners, which, considering it gives decent dividends, is a rather safe way of playing 'Alternative' investments, fashionable and IMHO sensible right now. I am LTH here and thinking af adding.

I bought again (sadly not a mill) around the same time for 6.10. Shows the MMs still have a bucket load. Hope we hear news before the election - if not I fear the new lot will drag out to 2020. All us LTHs need lots of luck - and staying power.

At least one of the other Flutters shows signs of life and hope at last. BPC has announced a tie up and will drill soon. I may get a bit of fun there.
Son is still hugely troublesome through no fault of his. Needs medication otherwise he is strange and aggressive. No-one willing to try.

For a LTH such as myself and many here, this is the biggest question. Is it a sensible gamble to buy more at what seems to be a silly price for an energy situation in a part of the world starved of energy at this stage of its development? The local public officers pension fund is one of our biggest shareholders and sitting on a huge loss right now. It is not certain we shall succeed but a fair bet and there is a real possibility of a takeover bid. We don't appear to have a bent BoD. For my own holding I am going to do the maths and see what I would have to spend to average down meaningfully. In terms of shares this is already the largest in my 'Flutter Fund' and I do not want to become too dependant on any one of them being successful, but this does look cheap now.

Anyone got any views on how if at all our business will be affected by Ballsanarrow and all this clearing the forest talk! At first sight it doesn't seem very positive but Dorset is a long way away.
