SP dribbling back a scrap but no reason why this beauty should disappoint next month. Thinking about making the portfolio even more unbalanced by adding a bit to this holding. The only trouble is that the market is Yuck and Brexit will be a month nearer. Hmmmm.

This was and is the first of my 'Flutter Fund' to get to the 'remainder running for nothing' stage. Just to let you know that a second (BPC) is now moving towards that blissful spot. I just wish I had known three years ago how long this gameplan was likely to take to actually run through! I reckon it will need at least another two years. Even then there is no guarantee it will work out, but the ride is interesting and playing AIM this way I am cutting down the risk (and, of course, the reward too).
One other thing I have learnt by bitter experience. Topping up equals averaging DOWN. Its much too easy to convince myself that a falling share price means the stock is an even better buy. The market is screaming that others think it isn't. Think long and hard before chucking more of your hard-earned into the pit! You are betting your own cash against the market.

For all those inexperienced in AIM speculation, here's how I do it so that the risk is reduced: Cut even on this stock is now worth calculating. For me it is 3.25p. I then calculate how many shares would I have to sell for the rest to run for virtually nothing. My answer is 20000 at 10p. That will leave me with 50000 as a free bet.(If the price does not rise quite to 10p, then I could sell more and own less as a free bet) This is the way I play my 'Flutter Fund' - on the very rare occasions I get lucky. Downside: One bonanza will not make me rich as Croesus. Upside: I stand a fair chance of making a fair profit from risky AIM punts and have a bit of fun. I work on the assumption at least half of my 'Flutter Fund' will go bust. Result so far (over 3 years) All punts still quoted: one very dubious! one running for nothing and now BPC hopeful. Just need to keep alive and my marbles for perhaps another couple of years!! Thanks for reading and good luck - we all need that in Spades!!!

General view here is right. In a different market these would fly, but even I did not expect such a muted response. Same thing at NCCL. Both ludicrous but what do you do? In the good ol' days you would fill your boots up - no brainer. Now I think you have to be canny and more cautious. Let the suckers crawl out disappointed and maybe I might tuck a FEW more away even lower down if can afford it - that is my plan for these yucky times folks. Definitely don't reduce. Trust in Tony!

....for the silence. Possibly in JD talks to include getting water pipe laid and under obligation to keep shtum. Stands to reason with quality assets that Larry won't let this vanish. Keep the faith. That's all we can do, unless you feel rich ..and brave.. enough to buy more!

The RNS I was referring to was an Edison Review, which, strangely, looks like it has been removed! Happy birthday for next month. It's hard to know when US will sag. Until then there is a fair chance this chart will continue upward. The talk is now of the Fed reducing interest rates to keep the Dow marching up. I have a fund of cash now waiting for Hard Brexit to hit home before I pop it back in UK stocks. All ythe best, Olda

.....what we each think is best taking our own view of the short and/or long term situation. The trouble is that we often don't do this. We behave emotionally.

It seems great RNS news is met in nearly all cases with a smallish rise and then a huge fall, even when the news is 'transformational'. I will try and live long enough to at least cut even on my 8 stocks but I am fed up. TLOU should be much higher but no Look up NCCL and you will see why.

Started heavily down again but selling apparently drying up early. We shall see but I believe these last few days the mms have been trying to scare us into selling these cheaply. Hopefully this cannot go on forever!

Your misgivings are fair but AIM is the Wild West of inv theatre and you have to take thye risk if you want a tilt at the reward. I would consider what is the most you would risk here and then buy now a % of that, so that you can buy again if the SP drifts.
And, of course, regard as a medium to long-term hold. This is what I do. Lots of luck to you - and all of us!

AIM is not a safe place for buying shares undergoing transformative news. (See NCCL) I say this in the hope of helping some of us not to fall into a trap next week if our co releases one or more great RNS's only for the SP to rise a bit and then dive to something ludicrously low, bearing in mind the great news. It is happening now on AIM. Be suspicious - you have been warned.

Normally you would expect a Placing RNS to follow good news so the SP rise would mean less new shares needed.
I suspect this is a treeshake, so Tracarta or another BoD vehicle can mop up on the cheap. Either way, it is very trying. Hold the shares but not your breath!

now that the project is substantially derisked. This is why, if they drift further, us LTHS should buy even more. Ultimately, unless we are bid for, there will be dividends. Many of us on here are old, but we will just have to get older and not go gaga. Then we can enjoy the fruits of what will be a wonderful investment.

... some more since they seem to be practically giving these away. With a present market cap of around £24M they are, in my opinion worth at least 3-4 times this now: viz £75M - £100M - and cheap at that!

Agree with badeli. His finalpoint, that will move from AIM, is what had occurred to me too, and a likely precursor could be a share consolidationof perhaps 5 for 1. This is going places. Ignore the 'noise'.
