Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Firstly a big cheer for the boys in blue away in Slovenia. I'm a wee bit surprised to be the first here to mention it. They took us to the edge, again, and kept us there for much longer than anyone wanted. Pure torture. Marshall deserves a gong for his world class performance.
Perhaps a jeweller might create a Scotgold Euros medal. Rare? When will we see yir like again?
Please forgive my ignorance. This is obviously a silly question from people who bought Scotgold shares for fun, in the same way that folk are happy to pay a premium for our gold. We want to maximise the fun of owning shares in Scotgold. We don't want to miss the first pour. I'm guessing it's going to be live on tele. We cannae wait. What time? What channel?
The wording of an RNS looked like mixed news but I'm not sure.
I guess they are moving to water injection on the shut down well? It's been decades since my boots were in an oil field. What delays are they looking at?
Work overs don't tell me anything about probabilities of success. I was reading that a well near our wells came in nicely last week. How do others read the tea leaves?
Burt. You were looking for cheap platform. Check iweb. It's part of Halifax but cheaper. No platform fees. £5 per deal. Servz reflects price. Cheap as chips so don't expect anything except salt to rub into your wounds. I'd move but I refuse to pay a platform for doing nothing.
Thanks for the explanation. I just added on the dip .. again
I have a problem. I ran out of room in my ISA but I just keep buying this stock.
On course to double every year.
That'll do nicely sir.
The following extract looked promising but nobody is discussing it so I guess it doesn't really mean that we have a third more tonnage today than we had yesterday. Could someone please explain what this is actually trying to say.
The mineral resource estimate represents an additional 600,000 tonnes (gross) over and above the reported (non-JORC) historical mineral resource estimates of 1,800,000 tonnes
Nice to see Pershing come aboard taking 3.18%. Another vote of confidence from the premier division of asset managers.
Published in New York this morning:
The Chief Executive Officer for BetterLife Pharma Inc. (OTCQB:BETRF) (CSE:BETR), an emerging biotechnology company currently preparing for clinical trials of AP-003, .. said ..
The Synairgen trials caused much excitement, strongly demonstrating that treatments using an interferon beta inhalation in COVID-19 patients significantly improved their condition and sped up recovery. BetterLife is due to start its clinical trials later this fall in Australia for AP-003, BetterLife’s inhaled human interferon alpha 2b, in patients with mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19.
In case you missed it.
This RNS re the issue of 4.32m shares (about 0.5% of 76m shares in issue) in exchange for cash plus cancellation of part of a loan.
I guess they issued it after hours so that we have a chance to think about the deal rather than perhaps rush to judgement I'm guessing it's a decent deal for everyone. Perhaps one of you will do the maths.
ORPH'S model must go global. Our questions should focus on how that will happen. The is unsatisfied need for the service ORPH can provide.
Hi Tomvisual. You might know the detail. The rns doesn't mention how long it might take to get this to market. What kind of trials does it have to undertake and how long do they normally take.
I'm retired. My pension is dividends. Dividends have dried up. That's why I'm gambling on Aim for income replacement. It's not logical captain but that's where we are. In the casino throwing our chips at fortunes wheel. I got lucky yesterday when I bought Braveheart. Like millions of other I need these tests to arrive yesterday. I only have a few years left which I was planning to spend sitting in a beach bar nursing a cold beer, not being isolated at home. Next day delivery please.
I bought yesterday on the basis of a chart. Did more homework after I bought, I know that's stupid but chartists don't care. Couldn't believe how cheap this stock is. Long term hold written all over it. Early stage biotech investment trust. Bingo. I hold three other biotech investment trusts but only one of them has such a big early stage focus. I'll be taking more. All news is good news for Braveheart. Scots wa hae ... an' ol tha'
One might almost think that someone was playing with the price relative to mwg.
Three french covid stocks were all hit at 11am yesterday with massive sell offs which took their SPs way down for a few minutes. Two of them pretty much recovered but the third only got back half the loss. Institutions? Who knows. It's a mysteron
this mentions a Finnish designed breath test being used in NZ

hmm
I would strongly oppose disposal of any part of OO but might support creating a stand alone business. I would want to maintain my undiluted shareholding in any restructuring. If that means taking part in a placing or offer that's ok. I'd chip in and probably take the opportunity to increase my holding. Not only does this business have a great future it makes a positive contribution to Society.
Does anyone know what happened to the ORPH group on Telegram? I can't access it tonight.
Huge challenge to deliver quality, time and price. My experience of similar situations is of handling trainloads of unexpected hurdles and issues on the critical path. Some commentators on here have mentioned a few of these challenges. Trying to do this using a global supply chain given the limitations imposed by covid is going to need teams of heroes performing above and beyond. All nighters fueled by mugs of espresso. A few sleeping bags in the office.
As shareholders we can contribute by not going OTT and not expecting too much. If we get this first contract delivered at any kind of profit that will be a bonus. Talk of rapid increases in profits is completely out of place. There will be huge front end loaded costs. Subsequent contracts will only follow if we get this right first time. The short term objective must be to get the quality and timing right. Profitability will follow, later.
Well done the team.
Of course, I still think that the most likely outcome is a takeover in a few years . Alternatively we'll see key personnel poached. Been there b4.
