SP decay. What I can say is that this SP development will flush out all the chicken investors and (hopefully) get some more LTH on board. Needless to say that the current SP provides for some attactive investments.

Agreed wallact: It must be profit taking as there is nothing that would suggest that the SP would need to tank - quite to the contrary: All systems go for a mighty rise once the Heron (or any subsequent) drill is successful - and the COS couldn't be any better.
As AIM is the betting platform "par excellence" I would expect the betters to join the party very soon!

Manro - I believe that the issues you mention are for real:

1. People's stupidity
2. MM's tricks
3. Any sharp movement (up or down) on AIM has a short life.

Therefore, the questions a PI should ask him/herself are:
Am I one of the stupid folks? Do I fall for the MM's tricks? Do SP movements have any effect on my investment strategy?

If your (honest to goodness) response is 3x NO - then your on the right path.

selling PM shares is getting less and less attractive and - vice versa - buying is getting more and more attractive (as if it weren't already!).

Meanwhile Victor is desperately trying to be scientific about the present opportunities. Nice try to express that you "certainly hope they strike oil". Can't fool everybody on this board - other than your deramper followers.

8.6p hadn't we received today's great news. That's what you - PM - get for your efforts to address the interests of the market! Not a lot of sound rationale around here (on AIM). I for one am confident that the savvy investors are familiar with this situation and will take advantage of it - and today's sellers will be kicking themselves! The volume is higher than usual but still not extraordinary. That leads me to think that this is just an over-reaction by those sellers who were waiting to bail out "at the best point". They will all be disappointed - even before Heron 1 strikes oil.

Agree blissful! I (still) don't understand what those red numbers were for; if intended, it just doesn't make sense. You can't fool people who keep on eye on the sp development.

A few years back there were posters on this board who claimed the "black trades" represented MM buys. Clearly, there were other opinions. However, if it were so - and based on today's black trades - that would display a substantially increased interest in PM's share on bealf of the MMs. Very interesting......hmmmm.

HoofHated - for your re-assurance: They've just identified the drill locations. Visas and the other crap are next. If I were you I'd wait another couple of months or years - but then everything will be good! Keep up the good Spirit!
A "bullsite" this is not - try to get up to date; there's been quite a bit of news since you last checked!

As I keep saying: Great to see the SP rise - however, as most of us know a rise "is never in a straight line" and in particular is not sustainable without supporting news. In PM's case this means reliable and irrevocable confirmation of the Heron-1 spud date. AIM investors are awaiting this news since several days and - in its absence - are chickening out as it still hasn't arrived as they fear further delays; can't blame them. "Mid July" is mid July, i.e. TODAY - and still no RNS to be seen.
The LTHs among us are used to this situation and don't lose their nerves right away - they may even grasp the opportunity to top up these days. The SP rise will continue once the chickens have sold out.
