In this respect (and according to my experience) I've got to agree with Mr. Positive who says the market anticipates future developments - particularly when they are real and factual. I keep wondering what the SP may have looked like in February 2017 if PM had been at this point at the time (Jeez)!

Couldn't agree more with your post. However, what I had to learn the hard way (over the years) is that the majority of AIM / PM investors think and invest on a short term basis. They love (big) price movements - it's what they bet on. A placing would (presumably) have a negative impact on PM's SP. Just as other funding options may actually have a positive impact. Whichever way, it's exactly the game people play on AIM.

But ultimately you're absolutely right when you say: The only thing that REALLY counts is that PM is going in the right direction - with or without placing. As (still) a long term investor that is right down MY alley.

Gunner1: Agree. The other simple logic would therefore be that any price sensitive news (which I assume there is plenty of) will reach us via RNS either tomorrow (Friday) or Monday, Nov. 11.

is surprising, unexpected and clearly disappointing. Which only goes to show what the majority of AIM investors, i.e. the short termers, who presumably dominate the daily trade are really after: Short term profits. From my humble POV it just doesn't make sense. PM's current solid situation, its potential going forward - it all requires a certain amount of common commercial sense to realize what we've got here.
At this SP level I just hope that the sellers will finally realize that holding is the better option than dumping. And BTW: many thanks to the MMs for encouraging the sell off!

What counts is what the company states. So here we are. Anything left to say?

If anyone were to ask: "Is PM willing or at least open to merge with or be taken over by any big O&G player in the near future?" What do you expect him to say? To categorically deny any such idea? Come on - let's be realistic here.
Go ahead and ask the question - but don't expect anything which would have an effect on the SP.

ivans: Can't help to say that you must be the voice of the market at this time. One of the main reasons the SP is so low is that (potential) investors fear a placing and - of course - its impact on the SP. Unfortunately, not even the savvy investors understand that the SP must have reached multiples of what it is today. It is how it is and we have to accept market reality.
The good news is that there will be nothing stopping PM's SP to surge once "the herd" finally understands what is going on.

I would agree with MrDexter on that. However, as he said: "..anything could happen.." and we (PM investors) have been taken by surprise a couple of times now.
But what's most important: PM has never been in better shape than now. If Mike Buck is as ambitious as I (and others) see him he will not support a placing at this point without being forced to. I simply can't identify what would force him to do so. The way it looks now PM appears to have several options to raise additional funds if needed. The placing option is non convincing.

In case you were watching I'm sure you noticed that MMs off-loaded a lot of shares last Thursday, Oct. 31. Now they're back in accumulation mode.

SP @4.6p? Is this some kind of smoke screen? We all know that the closing SP is @4.475p - and Monday's trading day will start off in the red. I don't get it. Last paid price (buy) was 4.53p. Once again we investors are subject to non-transparency.
As long as the SP development is in line with the 2 steps forward and one step backwards concept I am OK with this.

If you want to make a point on this board you need to improve substantially in that respect. Otherwise your posts will be considered to be nothing more than babble.

until now at least. It appears that MMs are teaming up with the last couple of chicken sellers (more buys than sells).
