The CGP spin off is taking forever... this was supposed to happen in Jan-Feb... I feel that they are waiting on the Govt of Ecuador to amend the windfall tax.... when this happens I think it will be a domino affect... Windfall tax reduction will lead to the spinoff being completed which will enable a suitor to take out the carved out entity... (Cascabel)

This will be great for Ecuador at a time when Venezuela is imploding... the timing couldn't be better for them

I think CGP spin out should be close.... that will be the catalyst to things happening

An excellent option as well.... once the market believes SOLG could do a scenario like this on its own (take to production).... thats when you'll see interest from the majors.... I don't think we are far off and any one party will most likely have competition when the show their hand....

I personally believe the MRE will do nothing for us. I would suspect that any major already is very attuned to what lies beneath the surface at Cascabel. What's making them wait?? The last 17 000 meters?? I don't think so .... maybe Mr Trump and his trade war??? Maybe it's Ecuador's windfall tax legislation that is just around the corner from being eliminated??? If they invest too early Ecuador gets the upper hand on eliminating this tax and may just water down the legislation as the acquirer loses some of it's bargaining power..... the majors are cunning men and women... they wait in the weeds .... this will come out of nowhere when it hits.... don't depend on MRE .....

I believe it may be a little more complicated with CGP as they also own 78 million shares of SOLG... it gives them something like 23% interest in Cascabel which includes the 15%. There has to be some serious negotiations going as everything seemed to be approved in January.. I believe this is probably a positive thing for shareholders

Cornerstone's model is too generate mines that a partner will take to the next level. Solgold is that partner is Cascabel. Cornerstone is also a large shareholder of Solgold. I believe in the 10% range but am not sure of the exact number. I know they acquired 78 million shares in 2017. They are very tied into Cascabel and any deal will enrich both companies. I believe the spin out will mean a deal is very close. GLTA

Richy... Im sure there is a behind the scenes negotiation that is affecting the spin off.... The majors have been looking a Cascabel for some time now. The spin off probably is more complicated as any potential owner is probably involved in how the Spinco is structured...... I think the delay is probably a positive. GLTA

No matter how good the news this is all about a possible buyout by one of the big boys. Will these results potentially get them to commit??? That's the only thing that moves us upward. Takeover premium... the market right now is only rewarding this.

It's just a matter of time before Cascabel gets taken out. Here are my thoughts on why it has to go. 1. CARS..... Every car in the next 5 years will have some sort of Lithium ION battery with 40-80 kg of copper inside. Thats between 2 and 4 times the CU in existing cars. 2. Car chargers/ Renewables - Car chargers will be everywhere needing more copper. Windmills, solar.... 3. New mines at .39 CU??? Alpala has numbers that are world class an way higher 4. Cascabel has roads, power, water that will save billions of dollars when built. Total infrastructure all ready to go.. Billions $$$$ 5. Ecuador government extremely friendly and eager to become a mining rich nation 6. Cornerstones split is packaging CASCABEL in wrapping paper for a sale. 7. Copper shortage is coming.... no new mines downstream ...... JMHO..... have a great weekend
