EU have been very clear that sanctions will not end until Russia makes repatriations.

Don’t forget Biden signed into law the 10 year Ukrainian support act. Trump will need control of both legislative houses to reverse that act.

If he wins I imagine there will be a spike but short lived when it is realised Trump has nothing to end the war.

Ukraine has gained more Russian ground in 2024 than Russia has gained ground in Ukraine this year. A year ago independent assessments put Russia firing 8 times more artillery than Ukraine that has now been assessed at 3 times more. Anyone who calls it an SMO rather than the illegal invasion it has been designed by 193 countries has clearly got it wrong. It has also been independently assessed that Russia cannot continue with the current rate of equipment and manpower loss beyond 2025. Whatever the outcome it is unlikely that sanctions will be lifted with the end of the war.

Zelensky has reiterated that peace talks will only be between 3rd party negotiators and must include Russia withdrawing to pre 2022 lines, he is hardly bending the knee!
