I GIVE UP. MOST STOCKS WITH BAD NEWS GO DOWN AND DOWN. NOW THIS IS PRETTY POOR BUT IT REOVERED 22% APPROX. SO DOES SOME ONE KNOW SOMTHING DIFFERENT? WE USUALLY ADD WHEN THEY DROP LIKE THIS BUT EXPECTED IT TO GO DEEPER. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO BOUGHT AND MADE THE BEST PART OF 22%

HIGH PAID DIRECTORS ETC WHO CANNOT DO THE JOB. PUTTING THEIR HEAD UNDER THE BED CLOTHES AND HOPING IT WILL GO AWAY. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF OUR LOVE OF HIGH PAID DIRECTORS AND STAFF. ANY ONE KNOWS THAT IF YOU SPEND MORE THAN YOU RECEIVE PROBLEMS WILL ARISE YOU CANNOT LIVE ON DEBT FOREVER.THEY SHOULD HAVE SORTED THIS OUT YONKS AGO. BUT WHY IS ITALWAYS ONE OF OUR STOCKS THAT IS USELESS. MUST BE OUR SELECTION SO MOVING OUT OF STOCKS IN TO WELL ORGANISED INVESTMENT TRUSTS . SELECT THOSE THAT HAVE DONE WELL OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS PLUS SMALL COMPANIES AND EVOLVING COUNTRIES. A NUMBER HAVE RETURNED 150 TO 200% OVER 5 YEARS

We do feel sorry for these directors being bombastard by you all just because they try and earn a bit extra crust to supplement their meagre salaries. As for shorters they have to survive by selling these stocks in hoping to buy back at a very low price to get a fourth holiday on the french rivera. all of ,which keeps your holding going up and down like a yoyo, instead of a steady line which is usualy upwards. Day trading is another problem. Stock should not be allowed to be borrowed for shorting. This would stop it. But the dealers love it as it is extra earnings for them The small shareholders. come on, they are always moaning because they are always ignored. After all they have only put the odd thousand in to a company with a long view of getting a return on their money, not much gain for the dealers here, you may think but there are so many small holders that the trades add up. We often wonder just who and where all this money comes from for so many small trades each day.

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE ASA AQUSITION FROM THE RECEIVERS OR DID WE MISS IT?

WE FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THIS SHARE PRICE. PROBABLY THE AFRICAN GOV.ERNMENT PROBLEMS HAS CAUSED A BIG DROP IN THE SHARES BUT WITH A P/E OF UNDER 6 WHEN THE AVERAGE IS ABOUT 12 MARK AND WITH A BIG DIVIDEND, IF IT HOLDS. HOWEVER THERE IS THE CHANCE AND POSSIBLE A REASONABLE CHANCE THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE OVER MINES AND WE ARE LEFT WITH NOTHING, WITH THIS IN MIND THE PRICE COULD HALF. PEOPLE ARE TAKING THEIR LOSS BEFORE IT WIDENS

DID NOT SEE WHERE THE DIRECTOR BOUGHT ABOUT �75000 WORTH OF SHARES. IT COULD BE JUST TO GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE. ESPECIALLY IF HE OWNS A FEW 100000 ALREADY. HOWEVER WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE COMPANY FOR IT TO HAVE A P/E OF ONLY 3.56 AND A DIV OF 6.25% MOST COMPANIES WOULD HAVE BUYERS FALLING OVER THEMSELVES TO BUY THEM. THE PULP PRICE MAY GO UP SO WILL THE RETAIL PRICE, MOST PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO BUY AND USE THE SAME AMOUNT. VERY FEW WILL RETURN TO USING YESTERDAYS DAILY MIRROR OR THE MAIL CUT UP IN TO SQUARE PIECES AS WE DID DURING AND AFTER THE WAR AND UP TO THE LATE 1950s. UNLESS EVERY ONE KNOWS OF A MAJOR PROBLEM EXCEPT US, THIS IS A STEAL OF A PRICE TO BUY THE SHARES AT.

we asppear to have posted before we finished. sales then came thick and fast making the price has drop another 5p. Once the price settles in the next two weeks we may invest a little more when the next sales statement is made. Surprised some sold at around 45p early followed by purchases at round 60p. Nice profit for the dealer. So basically we should sit and wait unless like director J Hornby who sold 2,000,000 at 234.53 last November making his holdings eqalised. Unless you think the price will drop to 40p in which csae sell otherwise sit on the stock. Only time will tell.

Dissapointing update, but if this is all it is and they are not holding back on potential bad information the price should return to higher levels in the next 12 months, PROVOIDING there is not a skelaton in the cupboard and sales pick up once firms star ordering again. It is all ifs and buts. A number of companies may be over stocked which means they will not order untill the old stock is cleared, again it is unknow to what degree this is. They seem positive that some depts are doing well on high margin goods but we wil have to wait and see what orders are like in the next 6 months. As an investor we are looking to see our investment increase not decrease and see us chasing our money. Why did the last CEO go, no explanation! Why were some goods being capalised and now entered in the P & L. Again it is finacial figures being manipuated. If this is the case it should be a one off in the P&L It would appear the audit ashowed up someyhing awey, what, they do not say. The lengthy statement could have been covered in a few lines. There was reasuring news that other parts of the company is doing as well as expected. We would like an update on sales in 3 months. We are in our late 70s and this is not a desperate state of affairs on the face of it. Many companies have done this and maniputed accounts. The long term should see the company increase sales and hopefully find more markets abroad. If not then it will be a concern. New morkets overseas is something that is badly required to move the firm an higher status. No mention of this but the Div appears safe. So if the next 6 months are ok then this will just have been a glip. Can the other departments mentioned at the end of the statement increase sales in new markets to compensate the slowing in LED. again new markets would be a key to the companies expention. It is noted big stakeholders were aware of the postion before we minnows. Funily share sales were good yesterday and after hours so no leak was given. Folk were expecting good news soon. there was buying at 60p but

A few more bought than sold

WOULD SOMEONE BE KIND ENOUGH TO UP DATE US ON PAF. WE HAVE BEEN BUSY LATELY WITH DOC'S ETC. AND SPENT MOST OF OUR SPARE TIME SORTING AND BUYING GOOD GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUSTS TO SAVE US TIME IN THE FUTURE. WHAT IS THE COMPANIES POSITION FINANCIALLY AND THERE ASSETS. DID I SEE THERE HAS BEEN A GOVERNMENT SHAKE UP WHICH MAY HELP PAF. IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED WE CAN LET YOU HAVE A LIST OF GOOD GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUSTS. PAF IS STILL ONE OF OUR BIGGEST HOLDINGS AS WE KEPT BUYING AS THE PRICE DROPPED WHICH WAS A BIT SILLY, SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR A LEVEL PLATING FIELD. WHEN IT DOES LEVEL OUT AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WILL NOT GO BUST WE MAY ADD TO OUR HOLDINGS.

YOU ARE BEING VERY UNFAIR ABOUT THE CEO. AFTER ALL HE IS PAID A VERY VERY LARGE AMOUNT TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR NOT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. RIGHTS ISSUES ALSO HELP PAY THE DIRECTORS EXTORTIONATE WAGES TO ENABLE THEM TO HAVE PRIVATE SCHOOLING FOR THEIR CHILDREN DECENT 4TH AND 5TH HOLIDAYS. DO NOT FORGET THE OLD SCHOOL TIE AND BOYS CLUB COSTS MONEY SO ANYONE WHO HAS HAD AN EXPENSIVE EDUCATION AND IS STILL IS RATHER DIM BECOMES A COMPANY DIRECTOR VIA A RELATIVE OR THE OLD BOYS CLUB ETC. SO YOU HAVE LOST 80% OF YOUR CASH, BUT THE CEO HAS MANAGED A NICE BIG HOUSE AND PLENTY OF LUXERY. BE FAIR SOME HAVE TO HAVE IT GOOD AND MOAN THEY PAY A LOT OF INCOME TAX.

SALES HAVE OUTNUMBERED BUYS BY ABOUT 22 TIMES TODAY WHICH IS A BAD SIGN, YET THE PRICE HAS NOT MOVED A LOT. DO THE DEALERS THINK THEY KNOW MORE THAN US OR ARE THEY JUST SHORT OF STOCK. WE ARE NOW MOVING IN TO SPECIALISED GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUSTS TO LET OTHERS DO THE WORK AND US REAP THE BENEFITS. WE HAVE LESS THAN 60 STOCKS IN OUR PORTFOLIO WHICH IS ABOUT RIGHT, HOWEVER WE HAVE EARMARKED ABOUT 15 MORE INVESTMENT TRUSTS TO MOVE IN TO WHICH WILL GIVE US A GOOD SPREAD. WE WILL DABBLE A LITTLE IN STOCKS THAT HAVE DROPPED A LOT JUST FOR INTEREST BUT THEY WILL ONLY BE ABOUT 10% OF OUR PORTFOLIO.

WE FEEL WE SHOULD HAVE SOLD AT 90P A FEW WEEKS AGO. AS USUAL THEY REALLY DO MARK DOWN STOCK THAT HAS A BAD REPORT ETC. (THIS HAS DROPPED BY ABOUT 66%) FAR MORE THAN THEY MARK THEM UP WHEN THEY HAVE GOOD NEWS. (NOT MANY MOVE UP 66%). PERHAPS IT DOES GIVE US ALL A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO BUY ON THE CHEAP?. EARNINGS NEED TO IMPROVE TO MAKE THIS GET TO 120P AS THE P/E IS 12 NOW WHICH IS ABOUT AVERAGE. IF NO INCREASE IN 6 MONTHS OR IT BEGINS TO DROP WE WILL SELL OUT.

Falling like hell Something is wrong here too many big trades selling and none buying, except me who bought a dead duck. Do i take my losses

Some of you know us for buying out of favour companies along with small companies. There appear to be + and - here. The finds are very hopefull for the share price, Initially wondered why the price did not increase more after the statement. However on reading about the problems with the government, it is a concern. Why their compliances seem to be a stumbling block, it again is the old African government anti white companies feelings of yesterday. Yet they want too have their own supply instead of importing it. So they may eventually come round. but this is Africa and we have a few coals in the fire here and feel we should not get to many of them . So lets see if the share price goes in to reverse and if low enougth a gamble may be on the cards.
