Can you advise us of what the 5 companies do that Yolo has interests in please. Aswe are quite elderly some of the technology leaves us opened mouths and cluless as what it is!!! We wonder why they did not become an investment trust, in a specialist area, then they may have attracted more investment. We do have a lot of a lot of investment trusts in our portfolio and they are increasing as we find we do get a better return in general. We do go for the specialised trusts and those with holdings in out of favour sectors.

STILL CONCERNED THIS MAY GET NATIONALISED ALONG WITH THE OTHER MINES. THE GOVERNMENT WANT TO LOOK GOOD TO THE PEOPLE, WHEN IS THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION RIGGED. ONCE THE ARE IN AGAIN THEY MAY RELENT TO GET INCOME.

MY CONCERN IS THAT THE GOVERNMENT WANT TO HAVE 100% OF THE MINE AND THEY COULD DO THIS WITH THE SHAREHOLDERS GETTING NOTHING.

We have taken a knock on this share but some poor devils have seen their investment drop by 66.66%. Too many of these "Top" compamies have let their investors down. Very poor management is the answer. Any householder who losses 66.66% of their earnings would be in real trouble. The old fashioned housewife who used to put money in to various tins each week to pay the families way (Yes we are that old to remember that) would not have allowed a company to have done so badly. A lot of these so called well educated business men have not got the brains that some poor uneducated people have.Very poor management is the answer. More interested in being a good time Charlie than doing what they are paid to do. And yes we are bot left wing conservatives. Remember, when the poor person has money they spend it and that will create business.

If we have read it correctly the board say 2019 wil show a profit of �340,000,000 which is less than this year, giving a p/e of about 14, why the hell are they not doing somthing about it. Think this is 5 years of negative growth, did they not think somthing was wrong and make changes, preferable changing the board

Note that at 9.20 there .where more purchases than sales today. Not a bad sign

The excessive wages these people get to be useless just leaves me breathless. As i have said these people are all over paid and you could get someone who is not in "THE CLUB" to run these companies for 25% of their money do a good job and we would all be better off. Why have they let a well liked name get so bad?

DISSAPOINTING RESULTS, BUT THEY CAN COME BACK. Two investors, Investor A buys all stocks which hit a high. Investor B buys all stocks that hit a low and do not go down again over the next 3 days. After holding the stocks for 3 years who is the better off? 5p still a good dividend, which most people would like to have. so we will buy back in again once the dust settles.

Hopefully there will be a RI of �2 per share to give them more money to hld the dividend.The div should be reduced this year if profits are down andf increased again when profits increasee 50% of prifits in dividends should be the answer. We are losing but have bought back in again and hopefully we will get a rise in the share price after the RI and show us all a profit in a couple of years. But we do back lossers as well as winners, more winners are needed. so dont hold your breath.

Regretably the spread on the buy/sell of 20% puts people of trading it. If a 21p/22p spread was used, just under 5% then more buyers would be attracted. We have a small holding and afraid we will not add with a 10% spread let alone a 20% spread. Is there only one market maker? we understand the M/M position but if a 5% spread on �1000 or less it may attract more buyers. Once there is a good enough turnover then the 5% spread may be used on higher deals.

Saw it on one of there information notes yesterday. Which one We do not know but it was from the horses mouth. It did surprise us but we read it a couple of times and they stated they were going to concentrate on the 2nd hand market where there was more profit.

Surprised to see such a big sale. Reckon it is one of those triggered automatically, but why did it not trigger yesterday if it is an automatical sale. never understand why traders do not top up when their share falls like this.

To reach a P/E of 10 which is moderate for any company the share price should be around 38p in 12 months.

We were surprised that new cars is only 10% of the business, now the question is can new car sales be improved without losing sales of second hand cars? Do we need to see the selling price reduced to get this increase.? However if you can attract customers in to the showroom with good prices for new cars they may even end up buying a 2nd hand one. You do need to get people in to the show room first before they buy, although i am led to beleive there is a rising number of people who buy on line with new cars. So could they try a on line price that is lower if they do NOT come in to the showroom ?

We were not aware that the government owed other sectors in the economy money as well, not just the miners . We also have holdings in Ariana Res. which we beleive have mines in Tanzanier. All these countries worked perfectly well with very little bribary untill they became indipendant. Any idea why the government has not paid its debts? has money been "lost" thus causing a shortfall? This is the one problem of having a lot of different shares, you cannot keep up with some of the back room news of them all. However a large portfolio, of a similar amount invested does even out your winners and lossers.
