I always thought it was equity investors who were supposed to be the risk-takers, but here we have the debt lenders taking the lead and committing to a £12m facility.

Unless greener sources of energy are developed at the same rate that production of fossil fuels declines, all that will achieve is a boost to the price of fossil fuels.

Just listened to GF's interview of this Monday again, he does sound very confident of being able to turn around NRW's decision.

It is true that the key sentence in the RNS contains a double negative:

"... in the opinion of NRW, it has not been demonstrated that the proposed discharge would not have an 'Adverse Effect' on lesser horseshoe bats and otter using the former Clogau adit/mine workings".

The tax losses are integrated into the CPR, they are the part of the CPR which exists now.
