If you look at the 2-year gold price chart in my post of 09:06, you will see how Alba's share price rise of last year coincided with gold's move up to, and beyond, $2,000.

So, no, the rising gold price can have more significance for Alba's share price than you suggest, copland.

Yesterday's move in the gold price may be significant, because the market has been waiting for the gold price to respond to inflation concerns.

We all hope Alba can demonstrate "that the proposed discharge would not have an 'Adverse Effect' on lesser horseshoe bats and otter using the former Clogau adit/mine workings".

The price has responded to the US consumer price index, +6.2% from October 2020.

For ages, it seemed to be Greenland which was omitted from Alba's valuation.

Now Greenland is quoted separately via Greenroc Mining, it seems to be N Wales which is omitted from the valuation.

Given all the progress made in N Wales since, say, the end of the first lockdown, and its obvious and multiple prospectivity, that makes no financial sense at all: don't know when the share price will turn around but turn around, it will.

Just looked at the 2-year and 3 year graphs - what a contrast!

The 2 -year shows the share price moving within a fairly restricted space around about the current price level of 0.90p.

The 3-year shows the share price flat-lining after an almost uninterrupted fall from about 15p.

When this stock does break out on the upside, it has a very long way to go!

So what is your explanation for only 5% of capital voting at the GM?

The shareholder rights activists got their open offer and UKOG obtained an additional £462,554 (before expenses), so the end-result was satisfactory.

Yes, in the circumstances, one might have expected more shareholders to cast their vote.

It's probably a reflection of the weight of nominee holdings in UKOG.
