RE: oil price: bullish assessment of prospects10 Feb 2022 07:33
If I am right and UKOG is growing in self-confidence, what could be the reasons for this?
1/ the recovery of the Loxley appeal by the Secretary of State:
it may extend the delay, but it does show that the government is aware of the potential importance of Loxley and prepared to intervene in such a case;
2/ the acquisition of the necessary seismic data ahead of the drilling of Basur -3S.
Is there anything else?
3/ Presumably, obtaining permissions for the conversion of HH-2z into a water injector requires a to and fro of information with the regulatory authorities. Is there a suggestion that this is advancing satisfactorily?
4/ And, then, there are the continuing discussions re geothermal, etc as underlined by the flashes on UKOG's home page.
5/ More generally across the industry, the realisation by government that neglecting the oil and gas industry may come at a cost ... in terms of voters.
