I thought Alba had the possibility of avoiding submitting an appeal and re-submitting their application.

The stock has been oversold for a long time.

This isn't the first favourable news for UKOG in the recent past (recovery of Loxley appeal by the Secretary of State; acquisition of key seismic lines for Basur-3s) but it is the first time the share price has responded positively to such favourable news.

With Basur-3s fast approaching in the near term, hopefully the path has now been cleared for further upward progress.

Appeal court judges were split over the claim by Sarah Finch that carbon emissions from burning oil in cars and planes should be taken into account when deciding whether to allow hydrocarbon extraction.

One of the three judges, Lord Justice Moylan, allowed the appeal but rulings by Lord Lewison and Sir Keith Lindblom dismissed the case.
