I always understood you expressed the quantity of gold content in the ore in grams per tonne or ounces per tonne so what did he mean by percentages of gold? ...

Hello and thanks for your question. We understand that reports of the historic grades of these really high grade pods had them running into the tens/hundreds of ounces per tonne. At the upper end of that scale, the grade would be approaching 1pc per tonne (because 350 ounces of gold in a tonne of ore is about 1pc) ...
