Only Saga customers get bonus shares. If you participated in the IPO through your nominee shareholder but aren't a customer, you won't get any. I was able to apply through Saga because my mother is a customer.

All these new-fangled ideas like "debit cards" are more trouble than they're worth. Can't beat the good old cheque IMO. Know where you stand.

A cheque arrived on Friday for £3150. Banked it today and I'll not be selling my 1000 shares until £2.50. At least there were no associated costs buying direct from Saga and it's so few that I can afford to wait.

Which posts and what people? According to that, I'll get 1000 shares for my £5k so I would have been better buying today - I'd have got 2600 odd shares and could have sold them as and when.

In saying that, if they were £2.50 now, I'd feel differently about it! Lol

More JK Rowling than Homer. So it would have been better to hold off until today and buy as many as you liked around the floatation price. Very cynical piece of business by Saga designed, doubtless, to stop retail investors making a quick profit. I applied direct and it seems I won't get my £5k's worth and will have to wait until 29th to sell through the direct dealing service.
