@MLQ this is from the interview: "A3: I think the idea was, originally, we were going to, when we talked about this in December last year, effectively, once we got the bank settlement done, we were going to start shipping material. That was really important because you could ship material, there’s a lot of material there about 1.3 million tonnes, take about 12 months to 18 months to ship it all, possibly sooner, but let’s talk the 12 to 18 months to ship it all. That would have generated $30 to $40 million of net revenue, which could be invested either to repay the bank creditors or of course, and reinvest into the asset, its capital so it had inbuilt equity."
Reading between the lines and the various news articles we've seen related to upgrade of the port and capabilities of that section of the river my take is that we are now planning on installing something outside the public port which will enable us to load up 70kt ships (which were recently authorised) and also utilise the public port to bring down that "12 to 18 months" to less than a year. A 70kt ship every 1 to 2 weeks would have the 1.39Mt stockpiles depleted in no time! (5 to 10 months) :-)))

Operations
While work on the settlement agreement has been ongoing, operations have continued to progress at the Amapá Project. This work includes updating the assessment of mineral resources, advancing the scoping study, updating its mining rights and investigating the installation of an interim shipment facility outside the public port to increase the capacity associated with the shipment of the iron ore stockpiles.

In terms of capable of handling large iron ore ships - I thought we'd concluded that previously both piers were used simultaneously for iron ore. Did you see this? Call yourself a barrel person! LoL ;-)
