newbie642 - seems fairly straight forward answer here; change to a proper broker like ii, HL or whoever. I admit when I started this "game", blimey, almost 20 years ago I used my bank too (First Direct/HSBC) and found phoning up and paying through the nose was not a good feeling (financially on fees) so switched to eTrade who became TDW who became ii. I have to say, having gone through many brokers ii aren't bad but have flaws like any organisation. However their platform is pretty simple to navigate and the costs are perfectly fair and easy to use. I must say too I rarely have a problem with ii buying or selling. They often give me a better deal at market prices but then that's probably so it makes you feel good when their contract notes state "ii saved you £££'s on this deal". Anyway I won't go on about ii as I am sure others are good too but same thoughts in your position - change to a proper online broker.
I have opened about 10 ISA's with Interactive Investor [ii] as I handle (under third party authority) several members of family and friends so I might be in a reasonable position to tell you how it works with ii.
Briefly, looking at some answers given in all good faith there may be a couple of mistakes in some of the advice given unless I am not reading correctly.
First in direct answer to cj62's £20k as it is "sitting", ready to go you cannot put the £20k in now, "ready" unless you have not utilised your £20k allowance for this year already; you could only transfer the cash on the 6th April.
Secondly there was a reply about opening a trading account first. You do not have to do this. You can open an ISA account on its own and use that account number for logging in.
Third, the form (on line or posting but you probably want to do it online if time is of the essence) is simple; 2 pages and you need your N.I. number handy; the rest is straight-forward.
Fourthly, to Bed 'n ISA ii do offer this service and if you get it done early in the morning (on line, not by phone) you will, in most cases see it all done and dusted within hours. However I have seen them take longer so a call is worth making to follow up your online transaction to "nudge them along". The fee, as correctly pointed out by a poster, is £7.99 and I have to say I am not up to date if it has changed in last few months but it is charged as one transaction and free on the other. Incidentally it's £50 to do it by phone hence better to go to the drop down menu and simply complete the bed 'n ISA request. It's very simple.
Fifth, when I did this 5 months ago for another friend the account was setup (ISA only) literally same day.
Summing up, it "may" be useful to have a trading account open as well (same procedure almost with all their forms on the website) as you don't need to use it but means you could put the £20k in before 6th April and go the menu that says "Transfer to another account" and do it immediately, so there is an advantage in having a Trading account but as stated earlier, not a requirement. Another reason for having a Trading account is you could add more to that over and above your £20k's worth and sell when the profit hits the CGT tax threshold (about £12k) or just pay the tax of course and it means the transaction fees (the £7.99) is not taken from your ISA account as you cannot put cash back in it obviously after it has been "utilised". (Incidentally you can set up a direct debit with ii for the monthly fee or transaction fee if you ever were in debit so no fees come out of your ISA balance).
Hope this is useful and covers some of the topics on bed 'n ISA raised today under this thread title and I am pretty sure I am correct but open to hear back if anyone disagrees.
Fairly standard announcement for someone who is still remaining with the company, merely with a different role so typically MM's seem to think that's the signal to drop the SP. Ridiculous. Anyway, when we have all sweated away at what else this could possibly mean this will probably continue its late afternoon rally northwards.
thirdtimelucky1 - imo This is last chance to get in [at this price anyway] as we almost know the core results are good. Add the chance of the RNS stating partners found for the drilling campaign then we are off to the moon. Look at what CH has said too. The evidence is there in that picture of the tube filled like a grease-gun with saturated oil and his other comments on numerous , recent video interviews and within next couple of weeks people will be saying "Wish I got in around 2.5-6 p. "
Your decision Phillip but IMO big mistake. I was down £90,000 on Rose. now I am on break even with ZPHR. You may be missing a trick here and with greatest respect your mistake is linking RoSE with ZPHR . This is NOT Rose. I think you will see the difference soon, even this month.
AgentB. A quick thanks for that link. As you say not good form to discuss other shares but a small, "subtle" snippet/link like the one you just suggested is how I got into EUA when browsing the chat on another BB and frankly has taken me to dizzying heights of profit (on paper, so far) and as I am looking at the next one to invest in I must say I nearly fell off my chair when watching that video. Thanks again what, for me, is a no brainer. I will research a little more and most definitely be piling into your suggestion. I defy anyone to not be interested in what was a very professional and well informed presentation with mind blowing implications on treatment of cancer/covid etc.. No, not a ramp before I am slated, just thanks as explained in the context of how I got involved with EUA and thanks to whoever that was too.
newbie, Year2020 said price rise possible so if I go to then it will be 30p+ . Besides, took up cycling 3 years ago and I've lost 20 kilos in weight over 2 years (38 inch waste now 34; oh, ok 35) and highly recommend it for keeping mind off EUA as need to concentrate hard on not being killed by those delivery vans. ;)
Having been to 3p already I expect as March appears on our screen calendars this will pick up. I'm going for a small rise to 2.6p mid price at close today and little higher tomorrow as the next trading day will then be March.
Yes, this really is the deal this time. For anyone interested I have edited the BB on "the other site" if anyone wants chronological order of events and videos (links too) as reminders; or newbies who don't know the story so far to get a quick overview and see why this is about to take off. Having said that and to balance things it really is all dependent on those first results of the core samples which, whilst looking very positive from the initial pictures shown by ZPHR, will not be known for another month or so. personally I think this is worth chucking in the odd bob or two anyway as the rise is most likely to continue in an upwards trajectory if only in anticipation. In summary: Great BOD's, great CEO himself, states facts clearly, no BS, everything on time and better and results looking great.
3rd on the riser board at the "moment".
frankpantangio - I just had to say that as I never understood quite why or when the expression changed to minute from moment. bit like sitting has disappeared form the English language and everyone is now "sat" there.
Evolvement of language I guess. lol.
Sorry about the duplicate before being accused of ramping! lol. I sent a second, shortened version of my first post as it just disappeared into the ether so shortened version posted to save me tying again. I must remember to hit "copy" before posting (good tip) for anything really as it can save a lot of time.
Totally concur with what positive sentiment here. As ex, stressed ROSE investor I don't normally average down but making exception here so topped up with 750k. This has chance of multi bagging but at a minimum +100% so well worth a punt anyway. As always, with me, my Buy is shown as a sell, as are most trades today.
Completely concur with most (positive) sentiments posted here. This is one to watch for 2021 undoubtedly. point is that there is high probability of multi bagging and as a worse case scenarios up 100%. I admit to being a stressed ex Rose investor and I don't normally average down but this one is, imho, different and worth a punt. Incidentally, to put money where mouth is I topped up 750k today. As always, most of the Sells shown are of course Buys.
