Yanis, I don't expect KL3 or 4 to flow naturally for too long. They are only cc 100 ft in length. I'm only guessing though and could be wrong. Maybe natural flow has dropped below rates what we could pump out? Maybe they are trialling a pump for use in the future? Scoping docs include pumps. Pump has been flat out for 8 days now. So if cleaning up KL4 and not pumping KL3 we should see pump off and flare in rocket mode very soon.
Sage, its pumping at a 10s cycle which is fast. Pump has been working for at least 7 days now. If it's still pumping by mid-end this week I'd say we are pumping KL3. If it's cleaning up KL4 we should see the pump off soon and the flare in rocket mode.
Yanis Boyzee has a point. Portland is an independent formation so it's easier to calculate oip and potential future flow rates. If KL3 and KL4 are like overlapping circles it's harder to calculate each layer in their own right. In saying that, if it is the case that 3 &4 are connected then it's s fantastic result for ukog in terms of the extent of natural fracturing. These tests will form a first ever cpr for the Kim's, one that could be very big indeed. Xodus will need time to get their conclusions correct. GL.
Deep, my dates give a wee bit longer but I suppose no one knows for sure. I'm starting at 14th July which is confirmed on 18th July rns that oil had been flowing for 4 days. Puts me at 11th Dec for the 150 days. I'm disregarding the June rns as it states more kit was still to be installed. But as I said we have no idea.
Tony I agree with everything you say but times are changing, it will take a long time but there is a lot of work going on to effect the conversion . I work in electronics, 90% of our product goes into automotive applications. All of the big European powerhouse auto manufacturers have stopped development in combustion engines. New projects are all for electric and hybrid vehicles. The cars will be ready long before we have the infrastructure and extra electricity in place to charge them.
It's difficult waiting Tkr, but I'm not sure what he can report until KL3 has been completed and initial analysis is back, other than a vague "KL3 complete results in due course" rns. A woolly update would do more damage imo. We're none the wiser until the rns drops, or perhaps pump come off and flare goes into rocket mode(KL4). I'm seeing plenty of gas action at the flare and daily tankers, so I wait on. GL.
Email SS. Tell him to cut corners and produce a half baked rns with more questions than answers. Tell him that you don't appreciate that the Kim's have never been flow tested before, that you don't understand the complexities of it all and that Xodus should make the numbers up. Tell him that a 30-40 day test should not take 30-40 days to complete.
