Recession coming imo. interest rates will never rise and inflation is not an issue. all supports going - lets see businesses that are loadedwith debt try to survive in an economy/society that is still not normal.

Airlines will need a recapitalisation after Covid 19 bleeds them dry.

Redceo - I hope it reaches £8 - I will be more glad for people on here. But 3 years in and nothing seems to move this beyond beyond £4.50. Patience is gone

Hence why I sold all £550k of my holdings. Not investing in the FTSE anymore.

Sufcessex is quite right in saying this could come good. But we're in 2021 and its lower than where it was ten years ago. FTSE is dysfunctional. Normal economics does not operate in the UK stock exchange.

My average was 52 p and happily I departed.

seany - don't know why.. . I've been investing for more than 20 years and I've lost patience with Lloys... sold hell of a lot of shares and won't ever invest in Lloys. Dividend was really pathetic and totally underwhelming given their profits. Traditional banks just mean nothing anymore in the investing world

RECESSION COMING. Lloys not a good bet. Held them for five years and they have severely underperformed - last results were great - but a pittance shared with shareholders so I sold 59k worth. Going no where!

Redceo. I have a project lined up with my partner. We bought a pub and are building a hotel. Location absolutely stunning. We said we wouls stop investing when we reach €1 million - we have. Have grown €350k to €1 million in five years. Lots of heart attack moments but held through everything. I'm not worried about inflation - not for at least three years.

Yes Falkland - knower of everything. I bought Barc at £1.01; BT at £1.05; Vodafone at £1.06; Fres at £5.65; BP at £2.50. Sold all for an average of 100% profit. Fres my best as sold at £13.30. FTSE really is a day traders paradise us what I have concluded.

I wish you all the best Falkland in your CFDs - experimented with those years ago and lost a bucket. A lot has changed in my thinking - a lot.

Lloys is yesterdays bank I am afraid - just like all of the banks. People would rather throw their money at neo loss making - no future - banks. Beggars belief

Lloys never amazes me in terms of unresponsiive the market is to good results

Sometimes - you have to listen to the critiques and ask yourselves the same questions - even if it pains you to do so. Otherwise you completely blind side yourself and make stupid decisions

SOLD all £550k of my holdings. There was a Smithy in my head asking the same questions as Smithy but about the broader stock market abd where we are heading. I do think Easyjet, in particular, will need a fund raiser in the next year - simply not plausible to get back to normal operations without the need for significant capital. I also think the travel lists will reveal signficant changes - but not for the better. good luck all. Lost £4k on Easyjet - but you win some and lose some. Overall happy to hVe left the shares stage in a very healthy profit position overlall

but looking at the share buybacks so far - they look a disaster. never ever seen one work for shareholders

SOLD all my shares yesterday lock, stock and barrel. Realising that loads of these companies share price prospects are pipe dreams. as for Aviva - for all the money they made the share price action in the last three years has been predictable. all £550k share sold - which at one stage were worth £250k. as for the companies their best hope is to be bought over and split up. I've realised over the last 3 years since Brexit - no one finds many of these companies appealing as a long term hold. good luck, i'm fully left the market.
