Senator - please do impart your knowledge as to why a bank with cash in hand of c. €7 billion is worth just over 3 billion.... you forget I am a long term holder... I can wait for a return.... a long time. sooner or later things get sorted!

By the way Senator - knowledge isn't driving the stock market - just fear! In the face of fear - one has to be brave! We've got a trade war and Brexit in the mix - and lower interest rates.... things can change rapidly! Trump needs a trade deal or his chances of re election are down the tubes. Boris needs an agreement or he is toast....

Senator - traded for 20 years. Made excellent money - especially on banks. I have scoured through every set of accounts for BOI and AIB. These are undervalued. Project Fear is unabated - people handing their shares away for nothing.

Just out of interest. AIB now has almost more cash at hand and in the bank (of its own - i.e. not including customer deposits) than the entire value of its issued share capital. This shows how Brexit has panicked people irrationally to sell shares. I continue to believe that bank shares in Ireland are severely undervalued - and I will continue to be a buyer. With significantly more capitalisation than 2009, this is a sill position to be in. I am ramping up my purchases of bank shares - thank you to all those who sold out their shares for nothing - I'll be having them.

Shares go up and down. I think this is way too undervalued. I am confident that we will leave with a deal - otherwise Boris is not going to last! I am holding these for the long-term - what goes up, comes down, and what goes down, goes up.... remember they were 66 pence not too long ago - things can change very quickly!

donald trump is the biggest risk to the economy - not the fed!

For those who thought it would end in the red - it most firmly has ended in the blue - and deservedly so. This is a strong company with a sold cash / capital position operating in a tough environment and making and growing profit. I maintain a very positive view of this company and will continue to purchase more shares in due course.

Will eventually buy shares in Centrica... but at the moment - with the new price cap, difficult to see how they can make a profit....

Very pleased with those results in 'not normal' times. I remain 100% positive that in time this will reflect the real value of the business.

This company nearly has a capital surplus the full value of the company - £11.8 billion I think! Company nearly valued at that... very perplexing situation.... I remain a strong buyer of Aviva - not fairly valued at all

RMG doing well within all the malaise of the stock market. Its a buy + for me when I can access my share account!

Pretty good results IMO. NAV per share up to 4.32 - exceptional cash remittences... and increased dividend. Profit up too.

Todster - people lose their ability to look at things sensibly. It will recover!

Caddy - holding shares is a waiting game - patience.

Mandrill - I just don't agree. The accounts are very detailed and informative - very detailed. There is nothing within them that could get the slightest worry about the health of this company. I am flabbergasted this is down at all.... Brexit - just a continuing excuse for mark downs with no justification.

I do believe it is a complete over reaction. BIRG and AIBG are heading in different paths entirely. Both have substantially the same risks facing them. I'm going to buy significantly more. I'm not waiting for it to go either way. Too cheap!!! Far too cheap for a solid bank.

Extreme over reaction. Have set aside £50k to invest - getting another broker.... really insanely low.

Some investors are just pure dumb - selling shares of a solid, well-run company that's making shed loads of profit even in all of the uncertainty. Brexit and the trade war are just the worst excuse of marking down shares.
