I have to agree with the comments about sxx, a lot of us got our fingers burned by various shenanigans, fortunately neither sxx or EUZ has ever been my main focus(sorry).

Do I think that LR and co are doing a good job, well generally yes I do... but they have done a good job for the mine, but not the investors and we the owners are definitely not their focus.

That was wonderful to see, but I agree that the subtitles are not at all easy to follow, and important information is all too easy to miss. The real value of this will only be realised if the subtitles are redone, which shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve timeously.

Project sunrise from Qantas is one of many good indicators of the future direction that airlines intend to follow. The desire for direct routes over ever longer distances has been boosted yet further by passenger attitudes following COVID-19.
Robust proven monitoring from within other spheres( like auto) are being further developed in full flight simulators by companies such as L3Harris and CAE. When regulatory approval has been achieved, one pilot flying and one resting will become commonplace. The savings on costs for the airlines will be significant.
If the rumour of $125k per aircraft is even somewhere close, and not including any ongoing monitoring fees, then the future is certainly bright.
As an example, despite COVID and issues with the latest max version, Boeing intends to increase production to 31 per month for the 737 alone.

I did have a first for me on this flight: single pilot operations. Which I admittedly didn’t even notice until one of the passengers said “wait, don’t he need another pilot or something?”
I inquired the reason for this: the airline will operate with a single pilot only if it is operationally necessary; that way they don’t have to severely delay or cancel flights if there isn’t a spare pilot available.
