Boeing says it owns eight of the 34 737 Max flight simulators in existence, with airlines owning 26.

Southwest tells FlightGlobal it has three Max simulators “in various stages of software uploads or the certification process with the FAA”. Southwest, which ordered Max simulators from manufacturer CAE, expects to receive another three in late 2020. Dallas-based Southwest, which operates more 737s than any airline, has a whopping 9,100 737 pilots, according to regulatory filings.

United Airlines has one operational Max simulator and three on order, with one each of those units to be delivered in January, February and March, United says.

Boeing has decided to recommend MAX simulator training combined with computer-based training for all pilots prior to returning the MAX safely to service.”

Big money indeed, the Lewbo chart has the US airforce linked with us as a possible and Boeing as a probable.
Whilst clearly there’s absolutely no guarantees that it’s anything to do with us, we can live in hope because a rumoured 125k per sim for 46-120 simulators would be a very welcome update, however much more importantly a contract with Boeing could set us up. let’s just hope we hear something imminently...

In 2018, Boeing won the $9.2 billion contract for the T-X program after submitting a bid that shaved about $10 billion off the Air Force’s initial estimates. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract allows the Air Force to buy up to 475 aircraft and 120 simulators, although the current plan is to buy 351 T-7 aircraft, 46 simulators and associated ground equipment.

Thanks seeing 2020, yes all well here...well mostly, glad to hear that I’m still on the party invite but if we’re not careful it’ll be less of a Lewbo super yacht and more like a saga special. I’m not moaning, just keen for news updates.
