Mailgirl, great comments.
Absent friends imho is partly down to a depressing sp, but if we’re honest it’s also reflecting the self destructive nature that we as a discussion board are currently in.
I agree that Cjen deserves our thanks for his efforts in producing a balanced report.
We all do have well founded concerns, for me that would be the appalling sp and a potential second project. Time efforts and money should remain in Toral. But let’s not forget we also have a fantastic asset that just gets better. The achievements to date are impressive, and the reasoning behind the nature of on-site work is also fantastic. Here endeth my efforts at balanced comments.
littleathena1, the AGM was open to everyone yet only 2 turned up, but even that was more than last year. Of all who were able to vote only 20% bothered. Of those who did vote 80% voted yes to everything. I’m not looking for an argument but that ship has sailed, are you trying to put off new investors and destroy the company’s prospects?
Shallwe, none taken- I’m moving up in the world, it used to be mega bus …
when the world finally realises what is blatantly obvious to the rest of us, then the years of spending spare cash buying small pieces of an obscure Aussie tech company will make it all worthwhile.
“pushing Basemark to the forefront of automotive industry innovation.”
So does that mean that the king of dms has been deposed…the king is dead, long live the republic of Basemark…!
I also attended the AGM and would like to both thank Cjen, and add my personal comments …
I have always been impressed with the geological work that has been achieved at Toral, following discussion with Myles yesterday my confidence about the significant achievements on site has only increased.
I spoke to LR about an additional acquisition. I said that I personally have grave concerns about taking away focus from Toral, let alone funds. When I said that the idea in my opinion has not been successfully sold to other investors he replied that he has taken my comments on board.
Do I believe that this will become a successful mine, yes even more so.
Do I have still have concerns about the medium term finance situation and share price, yes I do.
Do I intend to buy hold or sell, hold.

Soul boy, this would certainly spice things up!
Kuo also believes that Apple's headset will be equipped with an advanced eye-tracking system used to provide an intuitive visual experience that interacts seamlessly with the external environment, along with more intuitive operation that can be controlled with eye movements and reduced computational burden in the form of a reduced resolution where the user is not looking.
Baroness Charlotte Vere of Norbiton, (minister for roads busses and places ) was on bbc lunchtime news today.
Discussing the tightening of laws over phones and distracted drivers and specifically mentioned hgv drivers, she mentioned technology to further increase road safety in these areas but no details given, hopefully more details will follow.

So what are we to think about funding for the PFS ?
Previously it’s not been stated as fully funded and this new funding is apparently going elsewhere…As owners of the company, I believe that the board (who work for us ) have a duty to clarify.
Very disappointing news, but if I’m honest it’s not a complete surprise… it’s not like we haven’t been here before… several times!
Taking a deep breath and considering the news carefully.
Whatever else happens we need to keep the lights on, and funds were known to be running low. We also knew that previously our funding would only cover significant parts of the PFS but not all. If Toral is to be a success then Completion of the PFS is fundamentally important, however…
· “The net proceeds of the Fundraising will be utilised by the Company to pursue its refocused strategy of seeking potential additional projects/transaction opportunities.”
So there is a big question about pfs funding that needs pursuing.
secondly if seeking additional projects then this might suggest extending Toral along the known strike, (?) or that an outright sale is more likely than progressing Toral ourselves, in which case the board needs to evaluate what it intends to with the cash for its next project.
Today’s news doesn’t mean that we will not receive any EU cash, but does suggest that funds were required prior to anything arriving.
Once again communication from the board seems to raise more questions than it answers.

Bipartisan Senate legislation includes lifesaving automotive technology provisions
New agreement would require Driver Monitoring Systems to stop distracted and drunk driving
Canberra, Australia - Today the U.S. Senate passed a bipartisan infrastructure agreement which contains key provisions to improve automotive safety. Specifically, the legislation includes the SAFE Act, introduced by Senators Markey, Blumenthal, and Klobuchar, which would require Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) to detect distracted driving.
In addition, the legislation includes the RIDE Act, which was sponsored by Senators Rick Scott and Ben Ray Lujan which would require new cars to use advanced drunk driving technology to stop impaired driving
"DMS is on the road today in systems like General Motor's Super Cruise™ and can tell whether the driver is engaged in the driving task or is distracted," said Seeing Machines CEO Paul McGlone. "If the driver is distracted, driver monitoring systems have the ability to warn the driver and save lives."
The safety provisions would require the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) to carefully research DMS systems and begin the rulemaking process to regulate this technology.
This legislation comes at a critical time in the United States. Early estimates from NHTSA point to a 9% increase in traffic deaths in 2020. In 2019, 3,142 people were killed due to distracted driving, 10,142 people died by alcohol impaired driving, and 697 people were killed by drowsy driving. DMS has the potential to reduce or eliminate all of these crashes.
"Seeing Machines is pleased to see this progress on automotive safety," said McGlone. "We look forward to continuing to work with the U.S. Congress and NHTSA to ensure these technologies are available to all drivers and save the maximum number of lives."
