Falcon - agreed. However, I feel he needs to act reasonably soon or the scalpers will use the issue to pressure the SP until the funding is secured (not that that particularly concerns me). The quickest way to burn the shorters would be an announcement that he has secured lines of credit to repay NCM, and fund capex to production.

In a year or 2, that statement could turn out to be one of the biggest corporate blunders for decades in the mining industry. He is obviously trying to juggle limited resources under heavy pressure from his Board and shareholders. I'm sure they will be asking where the money went and what the returns were.

Great news for GGP, but it does make SD's short-term priorities more difficult in having to assure the market that alternative funding sources can be found to proceed to production.

Thanks for reply DH. It's no surprise to me that "reported" holdings from the likes of Bloomberg are inacurrate as they are only informed guesses. There is no central record of shareholdings. The issuing Company only have info on significant holdings reported to them because of thresholds, and most PI holdings (the vast majority by number even if not by share volume) are held through nominee a/cs.

To me however, the SP history and movements are an indication that the large majority of shares are still held by PIs. I believe there are many tens of thousands of PIs (and small trading punters) who hold, buy and sell GGP shares regularly. Only a small percentage of those are what could truthfully be called 'LTHs' Large II holdings in companies tend to reduce free float and volatility, especially if there is no obvious explanations for significant price movements.

Doublehun - just out of interest, what information do you have that leads you to say "I don't believe pi's have a majority of the shares in ggp"

I have no knowlege of any previous exploration of Apollo, and it's more than 40 years since I studied Geology for one term at Uni. I will await the results with some interest, as they will help to fill some of the mineralisation picture aroung GGP's tenements.

Let me ask you a question - if, as you say, "the Australians on HC ARV are viewing APOLLO ON ITS OWN MERITS." why don't you do the same. Almost every post of yours mentions Haverion, and how your tenements must be similar. I would suggest that you can only judge Apollo when the test results come in. I look forward to them. All else is hot air.
