I can find lots of news articles about Kibo tendering today but haven’t found any information from any other applicant . Does anyone have any ideas who could have applied and or if they would have advertised that they have ? I see EDL are without an RNS .

The article alludes to the Chinese becoming more amicable to restructuring the debts and debt write downs and much cheaper and sustainable than other business loans that Africa has saddled itself with..

There are hundreds of anti Chinese loan articles recently , I think this latest one is a little more balanced ,but there won't be many off takers for the $60 billion China says is available for east Africa .

Mcap of 18.4m is way too high if we don’t get MCCP across the line . I see no reason for the radio silence except to protect the share price from collapsing . Crunch time is approaching, We should know what the competition is soon but all tenders won’t be equal , there will be large variations that will need assessment and due diligence by Tanesco until we know the final outcome . How long that will take is anyone’s guess in Tanzania.

what are we expecting tomorrow ? I know it's tender deadline day but really what could be released ? I know we are pretty/very desperate for any news that could brighten up our depressing SP . I can't see them building it in under 36 months , this is rural Africa . Commisioning will take months and any replacement parts would not be readably available. But don't tell the Tgov until we give them a progress report next year.

Hi Lurker I'm not invested for the power station profits , I 'm only here for the coal which is directly under our proposed thermal power plant , I know it's not top grade coal but its uniform in quality and goes straight in with minimum processing. I'm convinced there is no competition fuel wise that can come anywhere near per Kw price and at 1.5 million tonnes per annum will do me nicely.

Fact is our elusive CEO has not updated us on the MCCP and any implications or positives to the tender as usual. Which means not good news or no news , spin it whichever way suits your agenda.. I see it as the project is not going to plan otherwise LC would be singing from the roof tops .I Can't see much value in the SML except as bringing a temporary positive perception towards the SP , Is certainly not for the value of the coal ,

The rift valley extends down to Mbeya region and Tanesco have 80Mw of proposed geothermal extracted energy within their master plan and I believe have received and spent millions on surveys already according to previous dubious articles.

I also agree with you JD and I just hope the Chinese are still keen to risk their money backing us as part of their Silk road. because no one else would with Tanesco as their customer and with all the recent changes in Tanzania.

I also found Mchuchuma has very good quality coal with a calorific value upto 4x that at Mbeya.

BFS is the last one banking feasibility study .
