Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It's not a mine, it's a gigaplant for battery production, I was commenting on the upturn in demand for lithium in Europe with the introduction of the new gigaplants for lithium battery production to meet the demand for EV in the near future, this will need to come from mines like Bougouni and Zulu because of the lack of current lithium production capacity in Europe at the moment.
Yes, the site is huge
Britishvolt have just been valued at over £1billion and they have just broken ground to build the gigaplant in Northumberland, England, massive investment in EV battery technology supply, raw material is critical, Northvolt is the scandanavian equivilant lithium battery producer, they are producing batteries now in Ett in Sweden, huge potential in the European supply chain.
Lithium prices are going to significantly rise over the next couple of years, I live I Northumberland England where the 1st UK Gigaplant is being built (Britishvault) to start 2023, this is one of a minimum of 6 required in the UK in the next 10 years to satisfy demand for EV production, two more are currently planned three more to be confirmed, there is currently no major operating lithium suppliers in production the UK, there is a couple in the early stages, one in Cornwall and one in Cumbria, the demand from these gigaplants alone will push the prices up, the rest of Europe are in in a similar position with just a few lithium producers, all I can say is buy kodal now and hold.
Price of lithium and massive positive potential for Kodal is driving the SP, hope to see a steady improvement from now.
Remember, it's the AGM next week, it would be a great time for a major announcment, if the licence is issued this week it would be a massive positive for the Bod to bring to the AGM, at the very least it gives them the opportunity for them to give a clear detailed update on progress, either way we should know where we stand on the 28th.
No new news yet ?
That is the key statement as far as kodal is concerned " This extensive experience in operating in Mali and general civil, power supply, hydrological expertise and infrastructure development will provide strong support for the finalisation of Kodal Mineral’s development plans for the Bougouni Project",
Kodal has partnered with a experienced company that deals with Mali politics and inferstructure on a large scale on a regular basis, guaranteed to deliver what is required for this project.
China has recognised that they will have a shortage of lithium in the growing EV market, Tianqi Lithium and Ganfeng Lithium have both been actively buying up lithium production capacity to satisfy the demand in China which is currently the largest market, USA and Euro are waking up to this now, the market is really starting to get crowded with buyers, Kodal will have buyers queuing up when it goes into production, I'm hoping they hold out against take over attempts that will no doubt come when the licence is issued, the shares will rocket at the production stage.
160 million bought vs 120 million sold today, its the most I have seen traded, looks like there is a lot holding now.
This will fly when the licence is awarded, over 220 million traded today already, lots of people want the shares at 0.38.
166 million traded now, people are seeing the value and real potential of kodal, the lithium is the big payday then in the background there is the gold that will pay sooner or later, win win scenario.
If Ganfeng came after Kod they would have to use numbers similar to the ones Dicko put on to formulate an offer, the delay has been good in terms of holding out for a great payday but it would be fantastic if the licence came before any approach from Ganfeng.
Could be this Thursday, they meet on a Wednesday, might be next week, might be next month, don't think it will be next year, the last RNS said "Near Future".
18m bought today, thats more than all day on Friday already.
When you see those figures it puts in to context how undervalued the shares currently are, the potential is massive, just need that licence.
It said in the last RNS that `we expect to receive our mining licence in the near future` I think this is a better place to be than some of the others at the moment, there is a clear statement that progress is expected soon, not sure when soon is in Mali, might be tomorrow, might be next week, might be next month, who knows, but it is coming, hang in there.
31m bought v 16m sold, and it still sent down 2.73% ???, good time to get in at a good price.
Hi, I have been a lurker for a while now and hold a modest level of shares in kodal (1mil+), this payment in shares in my opinion is a positive in terms of confidence, I have seen this done before in a company I actually worked for, they were given shares then when there is a significant positive change the obvious outcome is the shares the Bod have been given increase to a level that is far above what they would have been given in a monetary value, this in my view shows a great deal of confidence in what is to come for Kodal in the near future because they will not want to wait for their money :-)
