Terribly disappointing as I thought7 Dec 2018 20:26
the circular would have given shareholders a positive boost. The part though where it says they are in dispute with TPDC to me gives me concern for the other aspects of the go forward plan. Great shame they couldn't have communicated this issue separately with some indications of timescales as to when this will be resolved. However, having said that they always seem to let timescales drift but this is a massively important issue imho - i.e. the relationship with TPDC as so much else depends on this.
In the past they have told us Aminex had a great relationship with the Tanzanian government now to hear this makes me wonder why we haven't heard about the resolution of KN-1 before - is it still producing and selling gas?
So, they have had one producing asset and that has gone wrong - looks like a good job they are passing operatorship to someone else who has experience in the country.
It also sounds a bit hollow for them to say they have great expertise and are looking at other areas to balance their portfolio of interests when they are not doing the best of jobs with this asset that has such huge potential.
Am I being unduly negative? It reminds me of the TV program Bullseye - this is the company you could have won, or do people still think we might hit the jackpot at some time in the future - given past delays it to me is now looking more like back end of 2019 and into 2020 before we hear news about the drilling results.
