Finance Manager in Argentina buying shares at this price. I assume they are expecting to make a good profit on a decent purchase of shares - time will tell but she obviously has confodence in President's future.

imho - it looks like we will be consolidating somewhat towards the end of this year - if any acquisitions - small ones. It will be next year when the drilling and workovers contribute for the second half of this year and then we'll be building on that - I think in 2019 we might see some sizeable acquisitions sounds like that is what PL is looking for.

RNS and that says there has to be Shareholder approval - so I assume that means a circular and an EGM. As other posters say - timescales are difficult. I'm getting really excited about the prospects for this company though and glad to be in at this time :-)

re timescales as to when we might hear about the deal and when the shares will be relisted?
Does there have to be shareholders approval re the deal based on some sort of circular before the deal goes ahead and the shares start trading again or can all the agreement happen without shareholders agreement and then the shares are then relisted?
Does anyone think we are talking a couple of weeks, a month, two months, three months?

current situation with President Energy is that there SP had dropped and the percentage increase wasn't a percentage increase of a figure a good bit over 10p. I believe that is where the sp is headed but it's a shame it's not higher at the moment given the fantastic recent success. Having said that though it looks like there is a lot more to come from President in the next year and I think a possible doubling of the sp by this time next year is not unrealistic.
Time will tell.

Thanks for the reply Zanmantate and Mr B. Your comments pretty much reflect what I was thinking the answers might be. Don't think shareholders will get a chance to buy further shares but see the deal and possibly more success in 2019 as being a game changer for the company and it's sp. Possibly worth 3 times as much as now by end of 2018 then doubling or trebling maybe by end of next year. PW has managed the company well so far - here's hoping he can bring further success in the next couple of years.

PL is always looking for good deals and I am sure he still has a few irons in the fire at the moment.
In his recent interviews he keeps saying he is really having fun and enjoying himself - so let's hope his sense of fun is the excitement he gets from growing and running well a company that is going to return good returns to shareholders.

debated over the last week but I've not seen too many posts recently so the questions that keep occuring to me are.
1. How is the deal to be financed?
2. If it is to be financed by SDX backers do they have the resources to fully finance it? or will some debt need to be taken on board.
3. Does anyone envisage any of the money being raised by a share issue to current shareholders?
The questions re finance just keep coming back to me. Yes SDX have been hugely successful with drilling, yes they are currently growing the company well with drilling and with more to come, yes they will have a greatly increased revenue stream and will be entering 2019 a totally different company from the one that they were at the end of 2018 but where is all that money going to come from to finance this deal if indeed the deal is as big as is being suggested.

to pan out - or how long it will take before SDX are out of suspension and have shares trading again - 2 weeks to a month? - just a guess. So, they will presumably have substantially increased production then moving into a quarter where lots of their production from successful drilling earlier in the year starts to come on stream. My suspicion is - given time - possibly next year 12-18months PW will then repeat the process and he'll be looking for another deal in the same areas they have already had success in - becoming a major player there. All imho.
Very exciting times now for this company.

everything organised and have a platform now for growth. Was greatly encouraged today by the SDX news that they are looking at an acquisition of substantial BP assets in Egypt - that one came a bit out of the blue. I am therefore hoping that behind the scenes President are also looking at similar projects and possible acquisitions in Argentina and in a similar way a really good deal could, overnight enhance the SP. In the meantime the cash is building and they are looking at markets to sell their increased production into. Although Presidents sp hasn't moved yet I sincerely think it is just a matter of time. Peter Levine appears to have a good team around him and is moving things in the right direction. All imho.

I've only just spotted this - do people think it's as good as it sounds - only thing I'm not sure about is how big a deal and even though SDX has done fantastic with drilling and revenue is coming on stream does it have enough to finance the deal - whatever that deal eventually turns out to be.

start buying more shares in Hurricane in the run up to first oil. I appreciate it is still a bit of time off but months now and hopefully less than 6. I anticipate all imho an upward trend in the sp as time moves forward. Will be also interesting to see how things develop in terms of other parties becoming interested in Hurricane before first oil.

bit north of 10p by now imho. Still cannot work out why it isn't but the opposite side of the coin to this is the current sp provides an excellent buying opportunity.

such a good amount of dollars each month - then leave the transaction for a few months - pay for it out of the bank and repeat the success! Personally all imho I think the announcement underplays how useful this acreage is going to be and given they had better results from there last purchase and drilling than expected my gut feeling is this will be the same.
Large companies like Chevron often go for the bigger projects - this one will suit President down to the ground!
Just wish I had some spare funds to invest. My last investment in President was at 10p and now with all the success they are having it's at 9p! very odd and I don't think the sp can continue at these levels much longer. Hopefully not.

had another look at the slides re acquisitions is that both acquisitions that are in the slide both relate to 2019. So maybe President are waiting to get some more cash in the bank before going ahead with the acquisitions. Having said that I'm sure if Something came along PL would go for it if it fitted their production increase plans and strategy.

It's so refreshing to have such excellent posts on a Bulletin Board - there are some boards where the users seem to be embroiled in taking lumps out of each other and the comments can get quite personal and vindictive.
Great to see such good posts with proper debate. Well done all - using the bulletin board to it's best effect.
Many thanks and long may it continue! I own some SDX shares have been a bit frustrated by the lack of recent movement but based on comments below am thinking we will a very good upward trend in the sp back end of 2018 and then upward into 2019. Keep up the good work!
