WOW, glad I switched from SAR to AKT. Bad news at SAR today. For once I got out in time. Hopefully SAR will pull through and grow again, they are doing some good work.

Thanks for the posts regarding Scottish operation. This is a high risk company at the moment and although the prospects should improve in line with the general economy, my view is that until the finances are in place and the covenant breach is resolved, this is best avoided. I'm not deramping as there have been excellent buying windows over the last few months which I could have taken advantage of. I held WHY for a long time until selling on the last big hike. I still think this could be a prospect and the SP is still historically low. For a reason. With the future of Nuclear Power now more certain, I'll be looking to get back in at some point, so BOL to all in at the moment.

GSK were one of my best earlier this year. I bought in at 1000p and (sadly) sold too early at 1120p then waited for the retrace that hasn't come yet. But, hey ho. I used the funds to get into BBY and BAe which both turned a nice profit. I'll check out the ft article. ICX were one of my biggest dissapointments. I bought in at 4p, 8p and 12p on the TO talks with Pfizer and didn't see what was coming. I've still got a large % of my SIPP tied up there and can only hope something is salvaged. I was tempted by SKP but never got around to buyng in. I still like them, but will wait until the current problems are resolved. One of my other 'mistakes' was SAR which I bought at 4p and held for ages until the recent ramping enabled me to offload at 6p, (again too early), so that worked out, purely by luck ! But, yes, it is a bit like the miners and oilers and I love them too. As I said before, too many sweets and only 1 mouth.

Not as big a rise as expectedhere , but worth holding for a day or too at least. Phams are my weakspot I'm afraid. Always looking for the one company with the one product that will change the world.I sold a big chunk of MWA earlier to top up here and buy into AVCT and PYM. All a bit risky, but if they come good - wow ! I didn't like to post it on MWA, but I think they've run the course for now and will retrace. Still holding my original stake though. I suppose it's the gambler in me, I'm still holding on for ICX to re-list.

736,100 buy @0.0135p went through this morning. Only £9,500 0r so, but somebody's confident.

The BBC news had a good item regarding Alzhymers last night, that will raise the profile a bit.

...on the statement being made in October. If the results for Optim are good and the prelim's acceptable, I think we should see a better SP. I was looking to get in around mid September but the SP is very tempting at the moment.

I take it you meant CSLT dropping. I was waiting for a dip to buy more but it's not happened so I went for AKT instead. Another one I get into from time to time is AVCT. It is one of those shares that will come good eventually, but I hate having funds tied up, doing nothing. I am watching them at the moment with a view to buying late September. October will see an increase I think as the prelim's are out and a statement regarding the success of Optim (flagship product) will be made. I'm sure it will be good and I expect the SP will reflect that. It's all about the timing.

Never a ramper around when you want one !

Funny this hasn't risen on the news. I've been in and out a few times this year and was certain we'd see 50p today. But I'm confident next week will see a move North. Some good press would be great, but looking at the buys today, I'll hold and wait. MWA going great, pity it can't be held in an ISA, I'd be able to tuck more away. The Congo part of the business still worries me, but I think Zimbabwe have now realised that they need to get the stuff out of the ground and sell it.
