Wrong board poster, but Metro bank being 5% up is good.

We Metro Bank investors have had a torid time, but it's looking better.

Tbh Its like Marie Celeste (unlike here where it's 100-200 mixed abilities comments per day) on the METRO BANK LSE board sometimes 2 weeks without comment ! and one has to poke it with a stick to get anything out of anyone, except the excellent chatbot2.

Hope it holds and consolidates - as it didn't last time it went up a similar magnitude.

Dow Jones picking up nicely post-lunch on back of firmish likelihood of imminent trade talks of China Team with Scott Bessent.

Be interesting to see how AsPac Mkts perform tonight.

If hold up well, I'm hopeful of a + 1-2% day tomorrow for RR and 100/250 FTSE.

I'm slightly surprised by resilience of NYSE and perhaps we/us slight 'catastrophizing' types have been given a jolt from our doom-spiral.

Monday (and Tuesday UK) will be be interesting. I've been in stock mkt since 1979 and it is a certainly a weird unpredictable vista.

The china chinwag rumours perhaps. RR rallying to .6% hopefully a full fat 1% on close. Have a nice long w end everyone, dancing round the maypole or whatever is your fancy.

AsPac up just under 1% on day - ftse RR could follow suit I'd opine.

What's wrong with c 1% - The good captain earlier pointed out that two big mkt factors eg SME/Aircraft eng that may/will give us what I refer to as 'ride' days (big exponential increases).

Now in the meantime we have 'tide'(general mkt mvt) days and 0.25-1% very welcome in my book Vis my compounding point earlier.

Anyone expecting 5-10% on a AGM day, when mkt makers know the likely sentiment) are ill-informed and frankly probably best instead to try their luck on the 2.30 at Kempton Park.🐎

Not bothered if it's 1,2,3% as long as it consistent - compounding takes care of the rest.....

As examplehave a guess what just £100,000 invested 5 yrs ago at just 0.5% profit/interest per working day would be worth now - how much you guess £1million, £5 million nope stacks more ?

Answer is an astonishing £300,000,000 million - that's 300 MILLION !!!

Keep the faith. Everything is tickety-boo.

You just have to understand we all have inherent loss aversion bias (from hunter/gathering risks) that is all. Eg studies show if we loose £50 note it worries us 3 x more than the equivalent glee from finding one down the sofa.

Thus we concentrate on bad days more than good days. That is all.

RR is doing v well. If yo run a ruler over the 3 yrs graph it's exactly on target for £10 by summer 2026. The little spurt last week to £7.60 actually put us over that curve, it's just corrected itself last day or two.

Thanks for advising - I’m in two minds here as a Lloyd’s shareholder AND custodian of quite a lot of high value car/motorcycle finance agreements (of which 80% of lenders have already admitted to me in writing, that DC was involved ) - so win/lose or loose/win in affect !
