Changing perceptions....21 May 2025 20:47
Interesting how the 'overton window' has changed on nuclear in just 7 -8 years on nuclear, post Chernobyl, Long Island, Fukushima etc.
The existential fear (of global environmental catastrophe) now seems to outway the hitherto localised fear from 80s-2000s, in general discourse with Public, Media, Govts across the world.
With China and Russia I think I'm right in having live sites only, and circa 50 or so designs on the drawing board in non-communist (or non-authoritarian more precisely) countries, the prize for the winner is globally, with first mover advantage, akin to mass-adoption of Model T FORD (1927) , Penicillin (1943), Windows (1995) etc, etc. albeit governmentally or corporate conglomerates procured, not individually, of course.
RR only needs a biggish slice of that global pie to get big export advantage especially as RR is probably one of the top ten or twenty admired brands in the world.
I'm upping my 15-20 to 20-25 for few days thereafter on POSITIVE UK announcement btw!
