RE: I Spy said... not me ?3 Jul 2019 16:56
Valirx was not on my radar when it went to 79p; I was invested when it went to 7p and sold out on the rise at 2.5p and 6.1p.
As I have said before, there are many big cancer companies who are looking for patent variations to extend the life of patents that will be expiring in the near future. If they can find some way of using Valirx's compounds to extend their patents they could be tempted just to keep their cash cows going. The ongoing decline in the value of the £ whilst the Brexit uncertainty (and possible hard Brexit) continues which could make Valirx's compounds more attractive to big bio but, as the share price shows, there has been little solid news of any deal that will be of short term financial benefit to Valirx.
Like most who follow the ups and downs of this share I would like to see the science behind the share prove beneficial to humanity and that shareholders benefit. But, and it is a BIG but, the financing model that they use does not meet the rules I adhere to for making a long term investment.
