The politicians have been preoccupied with Brexit and have addressed little else since the 2016 vote. The value of the £ has declined (making the stock more expensive) whilst UK shops fixed costs have increased (labour and rates) whilst the government has dithered about how effectively tax online competitors.

There will be more casualties.

Unfortunately I agree - the company is hemorrhaging money whilst at least 1 significant shareholder may be looking for an exit. Despite the 20% drop in share price, it appears to be all buys today and, there is plenty to buy at 2.169p. Something seems afoot - time will tell.
