Apologies if I was not clear enough - I hold no shares in PHC at the moment.

I am just a leech hoping to get some free meals out of the share again and was expecting a drop that might have created a trading opportunity. I only see value there at sub 6p with the info currently available.

I am in no rush - if / when it crashes I will try and time a trade again. Needing to raise yet more funds normally depresses a share price unless sales are going through the roof and that is not happening for PHC yet.

My favourite Biotech (Plant Health Care) released a disappointing trading statement this morning. Cash on hand could be finished by this time next year so yet another cash call might be coming.

My model says a drop of 45% is warranted as they have suspended issuing financial guidance and the future of the company depends on getting some large contracts for their Peptide PHC279. I sense a possible buy back in point again after making 65% on a 2-week trade earlier this year.

Yet another RNS that reinforces my policy of not holding shares in companies that do not generate free cash flow. So much for rewarding loyal long term shareholders... The traders get feed at the Smörgåsbord.

Disappointing RNS to me; still negative cash flow of over $2 for the 6 months. The scaling up of production of PHC279 is likely to put even further pressure on the $5m cash on hand at the end of the period.

Unfortunately the RNS included a RED FLAG - 'The Board is therefore continuing its cautious approach and the Company will not be reinstating financial guidance at this time.'

This may be a limbo dancing day - how low will she go? 6p?

Not for long - the furlough payments will end soon and the damage done by Boris and his merry bunch of Brexiteers will become evident. Too many people will be unable to pay mortgages and rent which is going to force banks to foreclose on loans. Changes to buy-to-let rules [interest deductions / stamp duties etc] make it unlikely that mom-and-pop investors will buy the foreclosed properties and institutional investors do not buy over valued assets.

Thank goodness the seller who has sold hundreds of millions of shares is an idiot who does not know what they are doing. Clearly those who read bulletin boards and watch paid for presentations know far more than the person selling.

Seems to have finally started crawling around MAFL shares - it has been quite a while since there was so much volume. When I bought last Friday I had to pay over the Ask for a chunk of shares and as baz9707 noted there are not often a reasonable amount of shares available.

Maybe MAFL should consider a share buy back - my £8k but last Friday got the price up a few percent and the buy by baz9707 has done the same again today.

Don't mention a line and wine on this board - it may encourage those intoxicated on the positive fumes of UKOG's success to seek drugs and alcohol to blot out reality. Also frowned upon by Turkish authorities so do not scare off any potential investors from there who want to de risk a Turkish oil investment with the unproven bounty from the UK's lowest price oil producer.

The Q&A states:

They seem to be saying that there was no reason for the share price strength other than 'general market volatility surrounding Life Science' and took advantage of the circumstances to raise funds at the higher than expected share price.

Are they purposely trying to undermine the share price?

The Pfizer vaccine candidate seems a better prospect -personally I would keep any of my funds away from anything related to Moderna (my understanding is that their candidate produces limited or zero t-cell responses which are what are expected to provide long term immune reactions against Covid).
