As they have found out in the US, a rational person who sees economic armageddon approaching uses direct payments received to pay down debt / bolster savings. Not much gets spent in the real economy that would not have happened anyway.

With figures like that you can see why some have been speculating about the rumour that Amazon and eBay might launch an aggressive takeover manoeuvre - they have cash to invest and customers who need the finance so it could be a win-win for them.

Sounds good / plausible even if it is baseless #ramping by people trapped at a higher price who would like to escape with their original investment.

I find the Mega articles interesting and they do provide some pointers to the future - they are worth reading and thinking about how the changes they suggest may be coming will impact you and the sectors / businesses that you invest in.

Personally I see a bright future in farming tech, green energy storage and in-silico drug testing but these are slow changing industries that are only likely to pay dividends in the future (and I am concentrating on picking up free money at the moment by temporarily holding undervalued stock until they recover a bit and I get to cash in my percentages).

What do people do for money at the end of October - I am not sure the exact figure but something like a third of the population have less than £1000 in savings. The end of furlough payments is going to take the oxygen out of the nascent recovery.

The drop in price seems to have finally woken up the volume - seems to be the highest volume in 2 months today and there are a few more hours to go.

I thought that a shade loving product would be a way to exploit the area shaded by solar panels (RHS suggests beetroot, carrots (baby), chard, kale, kohl rabi, leaf salads, lettuce, peas, runner beans and spinach) but the article below suggests sheep and bees - less labour-intensive and watering around a solar farm may not be the wisest idea.
