I did not know that news article was out - adds hope to my plan of leveraging down my purchase price. I feel there is little downside in the price at the moment so selling the excess share I bought after a small rise would give me a dividend yield of double figures which is tasty in this environment.

There are a few of them - they got their big break a while ago with the BRAC1 and BRAC2 genes [breast cancer markers]. There are lots of privacy issues such as people being denied medical cover because of suspected likelihood of disease predicted by their DNA and people getting arrested for crimes committed decades ago after a family member gets a DNA test.

It is also why so many US companies are keen on NHS medical data as it is the largest medical data set in existence [family connections, effectiveness of treatments etc]. Branson is probably getting paid, and I would be surprised if he / his family are using a service like this.
