That is not correct - there are no rules preventing UKOG from choosing to make an underwritten open offer.

In the event of an underwritten open offer, it would be known in advance that all shares would be taken up. A green shoe option could be granted to the underwriter to 'sweeten the deal' and potentially raise even further funds.

An Irish subsidiary of Microsoft made a profit of $315bn (£222bn) last year but paid no corporation tax as it is “resident” for tax purposes in Bermuda.

The profit generated by Microsoft Round Island One is equal to nearly three-quarters of Ireland’s gross domestic product – even though the company has no employees.

The subsidiary, which collects licence fees for the use of copyrighted Microsoft software around the world, recorded an annual profit of $314.7bn in the year to the end of June 2020, according to accounts filed at the Irish Companies Registration Office.

The company’s profits jumped from just under $10bn in the previous year and compare with Ireland’s 2020 GDP of €357bn ($433bn).

Pillar one - a company with a 33% profit margin turns over £30m. Profit - £10m so must pay 15% tax on 20% of the profit over 10%. 15% of 20% of £7m = £210k. Effective tax rate is 2.1%.

Interesting article about cancer blood tests - they are so class as to be here for rich people [who you can expect to pay to get a test and take the results to their NHS Doctor and then get in the queue for treatment. Find the symptoms faster, treat the problem earlier is a good way for an individual, but more pressure on the NHS will mean longer waiting times for others.

It is not as far-fetched as you seem to think, even though ANGS's credibility might mean raising the required funds would be too difficult or at prohibitive interest rates or other terms.

Nonetheless, there are Geothermal projects which are starting to recover Lithium from the geothermal brine [EuGeLi]. The geology in the SW is likely to suit such a project, and it would make for the mother-of-all ramps, so should not be dismissed out of hand. It would not surprise me if people who block me actually read this post and the link below and refer to it in the future here and on the UKOG board [as that company is also exploring geothermal as a way to pay the BOD].

The £12m was loaned and secured against Poundfield - it would be expected that there are clauses on what the money can be spent on and they will exclude other projects and, most likely, wages. It is not as though you can sell the Good Lord if things go belly up and the security needs to be called in.
