So much for the 'Operational update RNS' igniting interest in this sad share. Some choice comments from the weekend, looking forward to this morning:

'looks like BOD are coming out firing at all cylinders'
'Ready, steady … go … re-rate has begun.'
'Looking forward to a comprehensive update tomorrow and perhaps some bigger trading volumes'
'It should be very interesting to see how the SP reacts.'

But there has been no re-rate, no volume and no share price reaction.

'All is still to play for, but the results have been delayed.'

That sounds like the words of a gambler choosing red again as the chips get close to running out. Will the gamble win this time, or will he have to go see the banker for more sharecoins?

It is NOT all still to play for - a great deal of time and money has been lost. That is why the share price is significantly down. To quote a prolific poster on this board:

So taking into account the £5.5m that ocelot says the 'market has recently supported the Basur-3 well to the tune of nearly £5.5m' UKOG has raised £7.7m to fund a bill of $5m.

And yet they are spending £100b on HS2 - there used to be an economic benefit multiplier of 8.

If the project would not generate that much return it was not considered a wise way to spend taxes. There is no way that HS2 will generate anywhere close to a Trillion £.

Would suggestions that a placing will be required to progress 'Geothermal and Lidsey/Brockham in particular' be 'ridiculous rumour-mongering and disinformation'?

The interims showed cash on hand of £591k; after 31 March they received £150k from the placing of 15m shares. The interims showed approximately £200k being lost a months. At £200k a month there is now no cash on hand other than the money advanced for the gas field which seems to be ring-fenced for that project.

Where does the money come from? Will there be a placing soon? Is anyone positive about ANGS prepared to suggest a date for a placing or other financing event?

And with the new policing bill GOV want to increase jail time to 14 years for such obscene offences as criticising GOV [long live Doris, his many children and multiple wives and all that worship him].

Surely points 2, 3 and 4 will require funding to progress. If so, any news just signals that ANGS are getting closer to another funding event, which might be a heavily discounted placing.

If Investors think that the chances of a discounted placing has increased, then the pressure on the share price will be downwards as some sell and speculators hold off.

No doubt, some will argue that the £12m loan will cover these costs, but there will be clauses in the loan that mandate what the funds can be used for [the gas field]. It is not as though the lenders would allow the loan money to be spent paying the Directors a 7 figure bonus each as reward for arranging the financing...

It has told a sad story for a few years now.

Share buy-backs are part of the larger scam as they inflate the value of the underlying asset without dividends being paid; which would have been taxable in the hands of the recipients.

That is old school philosophy; now we are in the days of modern money theories.

The rich have assets far in excess of their needs so borrow against these assets at unreasonably low interest rates [which are subsidised by the public through central banks printing money / quantitate easing]. The loan money is then used for day to day expenses whilst the assets they have increase in value by more than the low interest rates they are paying.

The neat trick is that they avoid capital gains tax that they would pay if they sold those assets to pay for their day to day expenses. It is called 'Buy, Borrow, Die'. Provided estates are planned correctly there will be no tax on the transfer of assets after death - estate duty is for those who cannot afford to take expensive tax advice. Tax advisers market the golden borrowing percentage as 26%.
