The company reported a slower recovery than I hoped for - Covid continued impacting into the new year, and shortages of steel and concrete had an impact. I had not expected there to be concrete shortages.

2nd half turnover improved to £46.1m, but it was still not profitable. I had expected a modest profit. The forward-looking statement of "Positive start to FY2022 with strong first quarter trading." provides some comfort.

Not sure how the market will take the accounts, but the statement that they expect to reinstate an appropriate dividend during the course of the FY2022 financial year will help. Looks like UK PLC is recovering slower than the papers and politicians paint.

Trump began today's fiasco when the US directly negotiated a withdrawal with the Taliban, some Conservative backbenchers said it would end in tears, but Doris would say no bad words against Trump whilst in pursuit of his Brexit saving free trade deal. Then Trump lost and Doris had to play happy days with Biden, so still could not say boo.

The whole point of an independent UK was that we could use our voice in the world for good and for the Nation's benefit. But we have been painted a weak Nation that abandons allies and breaks international treaties. So much for Brexit.

The British Army can be expected to ramp up recruitment now. When they design their Facebook and other social media recruitment campaigns expect them to be targeting poor inner city black kids [get away from gangs] and poor areas up-norf [get a skill without university debt].

The campaigns might be unlikely to read Richmond and kids at Eaton? And, as recruitment is outsourced to Crapita, the incentive is to get as many in as cheap as possible / at the most profit; there is no incentive to reach the kids of the rich who have more attractive life options than being paid to be shot at.

They were jobsworths; now the allies are fleeing in the gravy boat there is no incentive to prop up the West's version of their country. A couple of days ago the President was urging the Army to fight; he has already scarpered.

The new experimental therapy significantly slowed down the growth of solid cancerous tumors in mice. The work addresses a longstanding problem in the field of cancer immunotherapy: how to make chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy safe and effective at treating solid tumors.

CAR T cells are so potent that they may also attack normal tissues that are expressing the target antigens at low levels. This type of therapy has the potential to non-invasively treat tumors that are buried deep inside the body.

The CAR T cells in this study are equipped with a gene that produces the CAR protein only when exposed to heat. In mice that were treated with the new CAR T cell, only the tumors that were exposed to ultrasound were attacked, while other tissues in the body were left alone.
