In addition, current futures for August 2025 are back to historic prices, so Angus are unlikely to be selling for delivery in 2025 at the current spiked prices.

You can only go back 6 years to fill contribution gaps, so 2014 and earlier are closed. As someone earlier pointed out, paying the £15.40 a week for an additional £5.13 a week State Pension is a bargain that anyone facing less than 35 years contributions should seriously consider remedying.

I contributed for 15 years before stopping working. Am now paying voluntary NI so will have 35 years paid up when they eventually pay me a state pension, so it will be the full state pension.

My Dad would be a similar age if he was still with us... I regularly reflect on how fortunate I have been to have retired in my forties. Needing to work to pay bills sucks.
