ITM did a £250m placing a year ago at £4 a share; they are now around £1 a share and could go further down as the bad news gets rinsed by the new CEO. The interims stated a 'year end cash forecast is expected to be £240-270m' so there is no cash squeeze - current cash is about 40% of the m/cap.

I think a few here hold or have held ITM. One of the hydrogen pioneers, they went to giddy heights during Covid before reality brought them crashing down. Today, they announced an RNS titled "Deferral of Trading Update" stating:

'In order to provide Dennis Schulz, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, with sufficient time to properly assess the Company's operations and identify his near-term priorities, the Company has elected to defer its planned trading update, originally scheduled for 8 December 2022. The Company expects to provide an initial strategic and operational update at the time of the half year results to be announced by the end of January 2023. '

This seems to be the beginning of a process of getting rid of accumulated bad news. I was surprised the share price held up [it closed marginally up] but the company has significant cash resources and seems highly rated in the Hydrogen industry. One to keep an eye on; I expect weakness into January and / or a flash crash when the operational update is released to create a good opportunity.

A bit like GELN - the winners of these races could be very lucrative and start shedding extraordinary amounts of free cash in years to come.

I am not sure if recovering a few hundredths of a penny off all time lows qualifies as the start of a re-rate. However, there has been a self proclaimed expert who has been posting positively on this share for a few months now during which the share price lost 30%.

Shareholders in private medical care companies and publicly trained staff moving to work for them for better wages will be the winners. People reliant on public health facilities will suffer... There will be less taxes generated because older high earners are no longer part of the workforce; GOV will introduce tax deductions for private medical expenses so even less tax will be collected; staff will move to treat the wealthy. Areas like Dorchester or Christchurch will see some benefit.

These schemes are never run well, and the money runs out whilst the available staff get swamped / devote resources to applications sent through favoured partners [i.e. a company owned by a councillors brother / sister / cat etc]. If you think you qualify, being prepared with a fully compliant application when the scheme starts will put you in a good place for this slice of 'free' money.
